Re: OOTS death pool (thread #4)
Bumping. We're still interested in these long term bets, only no regular character died recently.

Re: OOTS death pool (thread #4)
Another bump. The Order just met the dragon Calder who wants to kill Serini, just in case you're out of ideas about who to bet on.

Re: OOTS death pool (thread #4)
Since Bloodfeast is about to be turned back from Baleful Polymorph, I have a rules question. The description of the Baleful Polymorph spell says “If the subject remains in the new form for 24 consecutive hours, it must attempt a Will save. If this save fails, it loses its ability to understand language, as well as all other memories of its previous form, and its Hit Dice and hit points change to match an average creature of its new form.” If Bloodfeast is reverted but it turns out that he failed that will save and forgot all his previous memories, so he no longer remembers serving in the gladiator arena, eating from the all-you-can-eat guard buffet, and stomping on Tarquin's army division, would you count that as a death for the Bloodfeast who was?

Re: OOTS death pool (thread #4)
Yeah, I don't think I'd count that in this case.

Re: OOTS death pool (thread #4)
The game is getting interesting. The recent modification of rule 3b might come into play here. As of the recent strip #1302, Calder has appeared in 9 strips (since he telepathic thought bubbles in #1294). He isn't dead yet but Roy wants to wrap up the encounter soon and it doesn't look like the encounter can end peacefully. If Calder is confirmed dead in the next strip then he wasn't a significant death. If Calder survives next strip then he becomes a significant character who may die soon and you can bet on him. Everyone else around probably counts as a significant character already, and some of them could get killed here. In particular, Mimi appeared in more than enough strips: #1237, #1238, #1241, #1243 1st, #1281, #1283, likely #1284 (#1283 4th shows a mimic transforming to a pillow and it seems like that's Mimi), #1288, #1290 1st (transformed to a box), #1292, #1293, #1294, #1295, #1296, #1297.

Re: OOTS death pool (thread #4)
I mean to be clear he doesn't currently count as significant for the purposes of 3b, but I think I'd rule he counts as significant for the purpose of if someone wants to place a bet on him (which would of course make him 3b-significant :P ).

Re: OOTS death pool (thread #4)
OK well it is now unambiguously legal to bet on Calder, so I'm going to do so. :)
