    Fire aura activates at the start of the Balor's turn, not Hyra's, so she dodges that too. WotC really should've changed that to end of turn instead, or as a bonus action 'flare up' sorta thing. With a 10ft reach on the longsword there's no real downside to attacking the balor and then stepping back to avoid its fire aura.

    Hyra's sunbeam burns the Balor slightly. She doesn't hear any reaction from Teopixki, though. Her Spiritual Weapon misses. Lanius fires two arrows. He's sure they hit, but he also hears them clatter to the floor. Jessica rushes in, the Balor barely managing to parry both sword strikes.

    Teopixki casts a spell, although none of you can see it through the fog.

    Spectral figures assail Merry when the wizard reappears. They vanish when he casts his Dispel, but the hand's squeeze still has no effect.

    Lanius heard the frustrated sighs of his friends and realized that whatever protection the priest had, was still in place.

    He decided to play with the Balor instead, firing at it based on what he heard, instead of closing in, he hid again and moving along the side to get away from the beast.

    Merry is somehow still standing under the onslaught of various fire and lightning, though he loses his concentration on the giant Hand, which releases the priest and blinks out of existence.

    He lets out a bitter cough amid all the fire and smoke. "You'll have to do better than that," he tells Teopixki. Merry takes a step away from the balor again and attempts once more to dispel whatever is making the priest so resilient. Then he himself blinks out of existence once more.

    Merry takes 5 from the balor's fire aura, casting Absorb Elements in response. Then he takes 17 and 13, 12 and 6, from the sword and whip. At the end of the balor's turn he still has 20 hp and Death Ward is still up. And he passed his save (barely!) vs the Firestorm! So then he's at 8 hp. And he moves back to M6 fwiw.

    Hyra attempts a Dispel, but it's absorbed by the cleric's rod. Her spiritual weapon misses. Lanius pours a healing potion on Merry, then hides. Jessica casts Dispel, and the rod is not available to absorb it... the cleric's Invulnerability ends. He casts a spell of healing.
