As with most Epic spellcasters, he has the Boon of High Magic, giving him a second 9th level slot. He used the first one for Gate pre-battle, and hasn't used the second one.
9th level Sunburst. It hits 2/3 of the temple.
Brilliant sunlight flashes in a 60-foot radius centered on a point you choose within range. Each creature in that light must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 12d6 radiant damage and is blinded for 1 minute. On a successful save, it takes half as much damage and isn’t blinded by this spell. Undead and oozes have disadvantage on this saving throw.
A creature blinded by this spell makes another Constitution saving throw at the end of each of its turns. On a successful save, it is no longer blinded.

It took some doing, but among the streets of the warehouse district of the Titanopolis, you've found Felix the Fat. Known to be short, wide, jolly, and immensely persuasive, no fewer than five different kingdoms have issued bounties for his death. Yet somehow, he always finds allies and escapes.
He's 200' away, and you're in a 30' wide street. Tall warehouse stretch on both sides, sized for giants.
You can see three mirror images moving around him, all slightly blurry from some other effect.

Merry teleports Jessica and himself near the halfling bard. He can see the bard tapping some sort of quick rhythm on a drum at his waist. The halfling looks...majestic. Almost god-like. Why would someone even fight him? Felix is wearing armor, but draped over it is a robe. The eyes on the robe blink, some of them swiveling to look at the two - or at least, he thinks so. It's all a bit blurry, and there are four halflings there anyway.
Hyra dashes forward. Her Celestial raises its bow, but can't shoot.
"Come on folks, let's have a good time. None of that summoning angels and healing and whatnot."

Merry attempts to counter-spell the spell, but Felix counters with a burst of energy that Jessica tries to intercept. In the end, the halfling's spell goes through, and everyone except Lanius and the Celestial hears a rising shriek in their heads.

Invisible, Lanius silently moves closer, unable to bring himself to shoot such a wonderous being as Felix. Jessica has no such compunction, moving away from Lanius and Merry and smiting him twice (2 hits for 72 damage). Merry contributes a lightning bolt; Felix dodges, but only partly, and is left with his hair standing on end.
Hyra stands stunned, her eyes unfocused.

You see a giant swarm of insects on the far side of the arena from you. It obscures all sight.
However, both sides were granted vision/information beforehand.
The enemy ranger (R) is a half-orc with light armor, a longbow, and an ioun stone floating about his head.
The elven druid (D) carries a staff, and wears hide armor, a shield, and spectacles. A shield of flames encircles her.
The enemy fighter (F), the human Sir Stan, wears full plate and a shield, and carries a silver longsword.
The half-elven warlock (W) is dual wielding a rod and a staff, and has bat wings on his back. Shining orbs spin about his head.

Merry has come a long ways. His animated shield floats before him, and his eyes glow faintly with a sight that sees all as it truly is. He still holds his Grimoire Arcana, a massive tome of magical knowledge and power, and in his right hand a dagger that twitches with eagerness for battle. His arcane ward surrounds him in a hazy transparent-purple egg of force.
He knows speed is of the essence here. Hit fast, hit hard. He moves to the cover of the closer column and quickly fires off one spell, then another. The first causes a searing flash of light right among the foes; then two massive meteors land at the closest visible points near the enemies, exploding in fire and rock shards. Two small mushroom-clouds of smoke rises above the area but disperse quickly.
Merry continues his travel vertically, climbing seemingly impossibly up the side of the stone column.

Sunburst 8th level: Con saves DC 23 for half, otherwise foes are Blinded for 1 minute (can repeat saves at end of their turns) and take (12d6)[47] radiant damage.
Then Action Surge and Boon of Spell Recall to remember/prepare/cast Meteor Swarm 9th Level (they don't take damage from more than one meteor, the spell just requires sight to choose impact points and I didn't want to miss any of the insect area). 40' radius spheres centered on R7 and Y6: Dex saves DC 23 for half of (20d6)[67] bludgeoning and (20d6)[55] fire damage. The planetar floats into the air, crossing between the gap, and then calls down radiant flame upon the fighter.

Having annihilated the first group, you now face the second after having rested.
You know you're up against a dwarf in a suit of flying armor who seems to be invisible, a monk who is invisible, a wizard who has mirror images, a ring of fire, and a crown of stars obviously visible, a paladin whose sword glows with holy light, and a halfling bard playing a drum, who seems almost too handsome to attack - all four of him (mirror images).

Action: Ready action: Cast Blade Barrier (Ring). This covers WAB immediately, contains Q-AB in width, 2-13 in height.
At the start of WAB's turns, they take 6d10 slashing damage or half as much on a successful dex save. Crossing through the blades incurs the same save. The blades otherwise provide 3/4 cover.
Action Trigger:- Merry's spells finish casting, so before the wizard's turn starts.

Lanius saw the wizard - protected by illusions. With a smile, he closed his eyes to get rid of the distractions, and let fly a barrage of arrows. When the sound indicated that the arrows didn't penetrate, he switched to the invisible artificer, before vanishing among the pillars

The enemy wizard is probably going to be pondering Merry's point in yelling that word, for a while. "Control Z!" Merry adds, waving his book ominously in the wizard's direction. Then Merry runs back to the corner of the closer pillar.
Spoiler: OOC - Dispel 5th level, Power Word StunMerry moves to U26, casts, moves back to Q29. Power Word Stun has no immediate save but if the Wizard has more than 150hp it has no effect. The Wizard can make a DC 23 Wis save at the end of what would have been their turn. Otherwise it lasts until they do make a save.
