Could Parson have found a better side to join?
It occurs to me, comparing Stanley's advantages to Ansom's, that Parson has joined the right side. The advantages he has inherited are all extremely helpful for asymmetric warfare:
- Unmatched intel lets you play the units you have to their greatest advantage
- The ability to 'uncroak' units lets you keep units you lose, in a way
- This new 'veiling' ability matches well, too - superior forces want to engage, inferior ones want to evade.
- His power is concentrated in dwagons--an extremely mobile unit with high hit points that fully heals every turn. A better unit for asymmetrical warfare could not be made!
Not only has Stanley inherited the perfect warlord to lead his troops, but Parson has inherited the perfect setup in which to be the perfect warlord.
And this just makes me giggly all down to my toes with glee.

Re: Could Parson have found a better side to join?
He didn't join. He was summoned.
I summon wolves in Baldur's Gate and let them die on purpose so the corpses don't return to the ethereal realm like they're supposed to due to lacking resources for multiple branch options in PC games. Arctic wolf pelts fetch a high price.
Point is, yeah I get it he 'joined/came in' on the right side, but the title is a huge misnomer.
This is more like using a computer to find the optimal candidate who would want to join and then recruiting him at gunpoint.
As for the Dwagons... I'm really, really getting tired of 'em.Last edited by Moechi_Vill; 2007-07-12 at 12:05 AM.

Meh, you need to have a Croakamancer nearby.
We also don't know what the trinity can cast of their 'original' spells. Might be that the running of the table takes up all of their resources.
*heh* I'd love to see you try that in a tabletop RPG.
How come?A bard, eh? What's your saving throw against things that don't get a saving throw?
"Mourn if you must, but mourn on the march to Tarmon Gai'don."
"Trollocs coming! Up axes and clear the fields! Trollocs coming!"
