Ace dashed towards the helm of the ship, keeping his head down, but with his eyes on the gnome who'd opened the 'discussion'.

His paused for a moment, muttering helpful words to himself - and he heard the echo of his bat in his head, reinforcing them. He gave a half-smile, as he braced himself.
