The rest of the crew are working as dock hands until the captain requires them to leave with him pirating.

Gundread bursts back to life as his Player's computer does. Blinking, he looks at the captain. "I got beat' up by Dark Elfs! Where was yer?"

The room is filled with scantly clad women. As soon as he sees you he pulls a pistol from behind a pillow. "How did ye survive those elves? I tried lookin' for ye, but I couldn't find the ship anywhere."

"I would recommend finding new work. I gave up pirating."

first of all if it was "your" ship it was your responsibility, and it burnt down, therefore you let it burn down, ergo, your fault. and second of all, you "gave up" how can you "give up" pirating with one leg, one arm, and one eye?....... ooooh wait, second thoughts, nice to have had you with us, that makes me captain now!... oh wait, no ship... how can you just "give up" pirating?!

"I didn't want to buy a new ship, so I bought this place and a tavern. And you are captain now, but hey I'm captain too. And it didn't really burn down more such it got holes blown in it, molotov cocktails thrown at it, and was sunk. O well"

all well and good, but captain of what ship? i dont have enough money to buy a whole ship, unless i stole one but then i couldnt come back here, as you are staying here now, it seems, it would be a nice place to hide, from time to time...

Miz, er, Cap'n Becky, I don't think further discussion with Master Burningbeard will be any use. Perhaps we should leave before things get nasty?" She eyes the pistol still in Captain Burningbeard's hand with some concern as she speaks.

With a little more coaxing, and judicious use of the "Captain" honorific, Susi persuades Becky and the rest of the ex-captives to leave Burningbeard's apartment. As soon as the door has closed firmly between them and the pistol, she reminded the others of the offer their fellow captives had made. "We're stranded in the area anyway; it can't hurt to find The Blowhole and see if they're still around."

Putting the pistol back he says "Maybe. Not in me tavern. And I only own the top three floors...........If ye come back I could probably round something up for ye all. Now if ye would excuse me I have business matters to attend to" ushering you out the door and locking it behind him followed by giggles.
