Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIX: To FAIL, or not to FAIL?
Xartyve2:
I have some questions, hope you can answer them.
How many dimensions are there?
Why is he staying in the wrong dimension? Do you have to wait to cast again?
Hope I haven't missed anything.
Thanks.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIX: To FAIL, or not to FAIL?
Q1: Infinite
Q2: The investors who paid for the spell research demand that he stay for commercial and scientific reasons.
Q3: 2 days. Thats the intervals that anyone can cast them. Example: x2 just cast it so everyone else who knows the spell (all two of them) have to wait 2 days as much as he does.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIX: To FAIL, or not to FAIL?
In science we're learning about resources so we get to make a coloring book about a resource we pick. Everyone in my group drew a character. Basically, our book is about 2 teenagers and a robot sitting at a gas station (oil) and a monster attacks us. the teenagers are actualy the "patrolium monster slayers" (or PMS, for short.) And we force feed him a cheeseburger so he goes from an oil monster to a cheeseburger monster. Just thought you'de like to know.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIX: To FAIL, or not to FAIL?
...Ummm...I'm not there right now...I'm back at base...And how did you know I'm a spellcaster? I haven't even shown him except for when he threw the waterbottle at Keveak... And even then he didn't leave the portal. I guess the voice in the comic when the portal closes could have been me... But still...

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIX: To FAIL, or not to FAIL?
Which is the essence of the joke, really. She's fine, even though she's in the most dangerous place known to Epic-Levelled-Spellcasterkind.
Dekopin isn't really a magic based god... she just is. I personally resent the application of any structure to Avbaroy, whether it's the core DnD rules, a variant campaign setting, or any other system. I feel they restrict people, but I've learn to go along with it it most cases, as the majority seem to like the idea of "magic physics". Which I utterly detest. I mean, magic is supposed to defy physical laws.
Rule of Funny. And additionally, "cheap" in a slang sense usually means overpowered, but you just said that Dekopin could conceivably do it.
Which seems to me to more like Threeshades being customarily lazy, and then passing up the opportunity for a climatic battle. Come on people, this is the boss fight! The prophesied two are facing their foe! We need some epic combat, not a "divert to instant death zone".

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIX: To FAIL, or not to FAIL?
While I certainly can tell where both sides are coming from, ABR is essentially a giant sandbox. One can use pre-existing material (dnd based things, video games, etc.) or make their own things up. It's the main reason why I like Kp's idea of the universe so much; people can keep adding things on as they like and just say that "physics" worked differently.
I'm siding with Keris as it seems more fair for people to run wild with their imagination. If you want a OotS style Touhou avatar, send me a request.
