just testing a theory.

If the you didn't get the email, did you use special characters in your password? !@#$%^&* etc.

I remember having this issue on a forum once and I solved it by changing my password. However, I don't seem to have that ability here. The only limit given was 30 characters, so I let my key generate my password.
It was something like this pSDK3j$dYEAp6^3L9jR1lF81c0UKFq

I was able to register -- I've put a post in the Bug Reports topic of the new site describing the situation.
