Curses spew out of his mouth. That had to be it. When the demigod is concentrating on a creature, he cannot block the teleportation! How dense of him to not think of it earlier. Floating around, he kicks himself mentally, which lasts all of .279385 seconds. With a swift action, he attempts to plane shift back to his friend.

Re: Plane tossed souls, Leth'nil only
ooc: Technically, my plane shift would have gone off before his dimension lock did. I don't care how much of a god he is, actions are still actions. My actions, in my turn, are free, standard, standard, swift, move. I posted, in my original post, that I was holding off on posting my swift and move actions until I found out what happened to me. Thus, it was still my turn when he started whipping around those epic spells. And there is no epic spell that has an immediate action, nor is there an immediate action metamagic feat. Even his salient abilities cannot mimic an immediate-action spell (as those are limited to level 1-9, and an immediate spell dimension lock is not). I hate to rules lawyer this, but technically, I could have burnt my move action to swear, and my swift action to plane shift.
He also couldn't have had a readied action prepped, as he was spending a standard action to concentrate on his little monster. It may be a free action (once again, something that has to happen on his turn) to drop the concentration on his "spell," but he still has to do it on his turn.
End result: Sorry man, I get back in before his dimension lock goes off."People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf." - George Orwell
