Re: Arena Tournament, Round 71: James Blonde vs. Lance
Your dagger is no longer a melee weapon when you throw it at me, it becomes a projectile, so I don't intend to make a fortitude save
anyway you triggered my ready action when you took an action in my LOS
(1d20)[2] I think I only will hit on a natural 20 since I am fighting defensively

Re: Arena Tournament, Round 71: James Blonde vs. Lance
Actually, due to the specific wording of the feat, I believe we decided a little while back that once the ability has been used, the weapon is imbued, and it doesn't matter what you do with it.

Its 1/2 level + Cha mod + 10 and since your level 1 that should round down to 15
Fortitude (1d20+4)[6]
pretty sure I don't need to make this roll but we can sort that out afterwards. roflLast edited by HCL; 2009-10-16 at 10:28 PM.

Re: Arena Tournament, Round 71: James Blonde vs. Lance
Nope, I guess that true strike was legit. Sadly I used up my good attack roll back in round 12, GG

Re: Arena Tournament, Round 71: James Blonde vs. Lance
Hold on a second, back in round 11 I did not attack right away, that was a readied action to attack when you were in LOS (which would have gone off before you could run out of LOS). So that would have been my next attack roll.

Re: Arena Tournament, Round 71: James Blonde vs. Lance
Okay, what? Can you explain that last bit better, please? It sounds like you're trying to go back and reuse an attack roll.

Re: Arena Tournament, Round 71: James Blonde vs. Lance
I think I just confused myself. I said "ready an action" to attack back in turn 11, but I rolled the attack roll right away because I thought it would go off before his readied action to move.
And then you confused me because you said his readied action went off before mine so I kept playing.Play By Post characters

Re: Arena Tournament, Round 71: James Blonde vs. Lance
So... you want to reuse that roll, after you already rolled your attack for this? I'm almost positive that doesn't fly.

Re: Arena Tournament, Round 71: James Blonde vs. Lance
All I know is that I am confused, got greedy, and have been cheesed out. A ref can take a look at what I wrote back in turn 11, and decide what the hell happened and call the match.

Turtle, turtle, dagger!
Good game, even if most of it was just me running away.

Re: Arena Tournament, Round 71: James Blonde vs. Lance
I still don't get how you can use a melee ability it with a projectile weapon. You can just call a longbow an improvised club and say you imbue it, then shoot death arrows. It really isn't a restriction at all.

Re: Arena Tournament, Round 71: James Blonde vs. Lance
Just for fun I am going to pretend the match isn't over, and try to charge you. Gliding charge to 10 feet above you, then fall. Oh, forgot to add my +2 attack for charging, doesn't matter.
