Re: LGBTitp 4: We are family
I was joking; I'm entirely happy with myself and how I am.
And Deth Muncher, I've always used it to describe the idea that I view myself as neither male nor female permanently, but rather a blend of the two, shifting back and forth. I'm one of those odd ones who would give anything to be a chaneling.Homebrew Hoard

Re: LGBTitp 4: We are family
Haha, I tend to do this too, except usually people don't understand what I mean right away.
Whoa so am I. Nifty.
What it means when I say that is that sometimes I feel like a boy, sometimes I feel like a girl, sometimes I don't feel like either. There's a spectrum, and I slide back and forth.
Also I think I like girls in the way that boys usually? like girls, and I like guys in the way that girls usually? like guys...
Switching back and forth would be awesome... I get to run around without a shirt on and still have babies later. Yay.
@v: Oh hush. I'd be having babies very, very soon if I did that now. I wanna wait till I'm out of college and married.Last edited by blackfox; 2010-02-25 at 03:28 PM.

Re: LGBTitp 4: We are family
@ Jac & black - Oh, I had an inkling of what it meant, but if you take it as two words instead of one...I just have a terrible mind. It happens. On a related note, though, I think that someone who IS genderfluid should somehow be able to become a changeling, because it would be both awesome and win, quite possibly at the same time. Plus I'm betting it'd solve a lot of mental strain for you, no?

Re: LGBTitp 4: We are family
Deth Muncher: Oh, you have no idea. Or maybe you do. Ka-shrug.
Blackfox: Woooo! I'm on the other side of the spectrum - When I'm more male, I'm more attracted to males, and same for female. Does that make me supergay or something?

Re: LGBTitp 4: We are family
Speaking of that anon e-mail about parents restricting that person for their "safety", my dad was freaking out about the same thing, thinking guys who thought I was female when they saw my dress would get violent, or that I'd be discriminated against, picked on, assaulted, or what not. Has anyone who has "crossdressed" or done something similar had any experience with this, and can they tell me whether it really happens?

Re: LGBTitp 4: We are family
I agree; the trick is to solidify yourself with a group. The one time I crossdressed was at my church's drag night for teens (in a dress I sewed myself. :3) and I had a great time.

Re: LGBTitp 4: We are family
My parents got upset when I went through a crossdressing phase, even though they thought it was just for halloween (their reaction to that was strong enough I didn't let them know I was wearing dresses on a day to day basis).
I did not get picked on, or beaten up, though that's not necessarily indicative given where I was. We have a statement: OISC (pronounced Oysk), Only In Santa Cruz. As in "OISC, I just saw a policeman buy some marijuana from a naked guy with a pink feather boa on roller skates down on river street." I did, however, get a lot of people assuming I was trans, at the dance I went to.
On reflection, I don't really like dresses (wearing them is the one time I start obsessing about body image, though I do like how they look), but do like open bottomed robes. Go figure.
And never, never ever jeans. Sweats when possible, khakis when not. I like a comfortable, airy softness around my legs.

Mayhap he was merely naked in spirit. Besides a feather boa enhances nakedness as opposed to reducing it

Re: LGBTitp 4: We are family
Wait, you're a bisexual female engineering nerd? And you're "Hopelessly Single?"
No, no, no. I guarantee there are at least 12 of your classmates who are secretly crushing on you, but too shy to comment without encouragement. 33 if you wear glasses. Pick the best of your peers, they will almost certainly agree to a date with you if not solely attracted to males.

Re: LGBTitp 4: We are family
Jacklu finds engineering girls rather attractive, actually. Big brains are sexy. And pictures of blackfox I have seen so far have indicated a rather cute girl. Added points for liking D&D and bisexual to boot so I wouldn't have to worry about which gender I felt like being at the moment. Seems like a rather good deal being the lucky one to woo her.
Still not really here. Still just an illusion.

Re: LGBTitp 4: We are family
I was never attracted to athletic men and I admit that I was never attracted to black men. But this is so charming, I might consider him.
