So, it's normal for pretty much your entire team to get killed the very first time you fight more than one alien in X-Com, right?

Because that's what just happened.

I don't even see what I did wrong. I mean, even after they shot half of my team to shreds, I never even saw them! It's like my guys are blind or something, what the hell?

Scouting with a tank can always help. Otherwise, it's mostly luck and caution.

EDIT: Although I am by no means an expert, but my results definately improved when I did the above. Also, laser weapons help an awful lot.

Just got a reply from steam, they fixed the problem, but couldn't give me sale price on Trine or KF, maaaan it's going to be ages before they're on sale again!
