Takeshi flails helplessly at Yuuta, though most of his energy seems to have left his small frame. His shoulders slump further as he heaves a sigh, flopping backwards onto the ground as he hangs his head between his arms.

"Even if we don' go out der with weapons...we gotta do somethin...nothin'll change if we don'. Dis isn't some stupid game. Dis is peoples lives Yuuta! You just gonna watch em...disappear?"

Yoshi calmly looked over the menu. He had a little better grasp of how to say some of the words, at least. He was no linguist, but poetry came from all over, after all...

His staff laid flat on the floor in front of his mat, as out of the way as possible.

Yuuta's expression softens. "No. I don't have any suggestions. Nor do I know what it's like to live one's life on the other side of the wall. I am naught but the misbegotten son of the very avatars of all you oppose. I want to help, I want to end the meaningless tribulations out there, but I..." Yuuta clinches his teeth. "-I CAN'T do more than protect. I can't see that look on people's faces again. This is why I suggested not an approach that punishes wrong, but rewards right. Give the good people beyond the wall something to work for, to obtain, and you give them hope. If we roll over the districts like a storm in our zeal to make things better now, we only prove that might makes right in the long run." Yuuta presents his massive, upraised hand to Takeshi. "There is a part of me that would love to use my inborn potency to clean the streets up one blow at a time, and that knowledge fills me with shame." Yuuta throws his hands up in frustration before using them to rub his temples. "I don't know what the right thing to do is, but you're right that doing nothing is unacceptable. Know that I will continue to follow your lead, sir, at least until a better option presents itself."

Takeshi rovers around the room weakly, supporting himself against the wall as he tries to hold back a powerful wave of nausea.

"Your not a noble like your family. But your gonna have to look at dis place in a new light...cause the old ways are gonna die. We're gonna press on, even if de rest of Soul Society stays the same. We're gonna grow and we're gonna change, but its gonna be violent...growth never's painless."

Takeshi seems to have settled before he looked at the bucket, suddenly vomiting loudly. He wipes his mouth off with the back of his hand, wavering weakly.

"G-Get me my pipe."

Allan enters the food court and grabs a tray, quickly piling it high with food. Completely coincidentally, he ends up sitting across from Koujin, raising his eyebrows at Koujin's collection of food.

"Can you eat all of that?"

"Hm? Oh, yeah. I mean...I haven't eaten in almost two hours, so I'm really hungry again." Koujin shrugs. "You don't look like the lightest eater either." Grinning, he sets in on his food. He eats in such a way that suggests consuming large quantities very often is common for him, and so he's surprisingly polite about scarfing entire plates of food in seconds.

Allan doesn't move for a second, then barks out a loud laugh.

"Ha! That's my kind of thinking."

He also begins to eat.

"What's your name? I don't think I've seen you around here before."

Shinji and Ikimi


As they wait for their food, Ikimi calmly sips her tea. Shinji, meanwhile, is more interested in socializing.

"So, Ms. Fukui, right? 6th Division? Tell us a little about yourself!"

Leaving the bucket in Takeshi's capable hands, Yuuta complies, and adds brings a fresh water jug to boot.

Takeshi takes the pipe, sucking on it slowly before long trails of smoke start pouring from his nose.

"Tommorow...get everything ready tommorow..."

Takeshi slowly starts to curl up in his chair, glaring up at Yuuta as his lids close.

"A-And take that hateful weapon out of the room...I will have none of her this night..."

Yuuta pulls a silk scarf from his commander's desk and retrieves the weapon with reverence. He then sets it in an ornate case in the office's storeroom. Upon returning to the office, Yuuta grabs a fresh round of strong drink and swigs loudly.

Allan doesn't move for a second, then barks out a loud laugh.

"Ha! That's my kind of thinking."

He also begins to eat.

"What's your name? I don't think I've seen you around here before."

"You haven't seen me around because this is my first time over here to the 13th since our tour during the academy. I'm Shiaki Koujin, from 6th squad."

Somehow during the time that he was speaking perfectly clearly, Koujin had consumed a large bowl of rice and a plate of dumplings. He was now pouring himself another cup of tea.

Allan, who had been eating with gusto, freezes in mid bite as Koujin introduces himself. After a second, he swallows and sits back.

"Oh. Well. <F***.>"

Hachirou had watched intently as Allan had left. Well, it seems like it had the intended effect, he ponders as he resumes working. Hopefully, it will stick this time around. After a while of working, a smug feeling of something going exactly as planned washes over him; it is, surely, purely co-incidental that this overlaps with the moment of Koujin introducing himself to Allan.

Yes. It will stick.

"Being an Officer in the 12th isn't as prestigious as some Divisions; it's more just to help us research better..."

Yoshi shrugs, then frowns a bit.

Tai made her way to the Rokungai with her selected troops and made quick work of spending the money provided to her. She then followed her instructions and had what was purchased given out to the locals, free of charge. Afterward she got to work, recruiting men and woman to come work at construction, as per her captain's orders. And then she got distracted playing with some of the children.

The woman didn't respond. Odd. Maybe she was in her own world at this point, wrapped up in training. Her wounds cause her to be this way. Best to leave her alone. Ah well. Taganjuu has a point.

Sigint moves onwards, back to searching for any high ranking 9th Divisioners. Ideally the Captain, if it were a perfect world. Afterall, who better to inquire about what was on his mind?

Allan shakes his head.

"It's not really anything against you, personally, but Hachirou seemed pretty satisfied with himself. And given how much he dislikes me, I got the impression that said training wasn't going to be particularly pleasant."

"Oh." Koujin's worry turns into a simple frown. "Well...um..." He returns to eating, but much slower now. "Don't wear your best uniform?"

Kyou ignores the continued conversation, retreating into her thoughts. The food's coming... you're going to have to take your hand out sometime. Why should you care what they think anyway? It's not your fault your arm is like this...
