Reinholdt looks back at Decker and gives a sad smile.
"Except... I'm not a paladin. It didn't work out. I don't think I'm allowed divine grace." Reinholdt rolls over on his side, facing away from Decker.
"Too much to answer for."

"Oh, there's never too much to answer for. That's why we have you for eternity."

[Reinholdt]

[Infirmary]

"Eternity. Thanks. No really, I appreciate it."
He stays facing away from Decker.

"You're welcome!" Decker says, and skips out.

If I'm not mistaken, that's your phone, DC, and that pesky cyborg Magtok is calling to pummel you with his usual verbose barrage of information, opinions, and nonsense, which you may or may not already have access to.

DC answers the phone. "Make it quick, I'm busy." Airship repairs are important, after all.

Magtok takes a breath, and tries to summarize everything into as small a barrage as he can. It's still pretty big, but at least he's trying, right?

We killed Alek, saved Happy, Raven's alive, some psychic-ish guy who was travelling with Raven is kinda comatose in the MagCave. I think I can engineer myself a tesla eye cannon from the stuff here, and surveillance footage reports that you guys totally dropped the ball with keeping Rein as your captive, because he just strolled by the MagCave with a weird look on his face like he was expecting something.

Anyways, me and Happy are going to MaggyLand where I last saw somerthing Shepherd-ish, going to try to goad him into appearing and then shoot him in the face. If that fails, Taverna to do the same. How's things on your end?

Ilyena shrugs. Suit yourself. Turns to Shawna. So what's going on, exactly?

And so Shawna will explain what little she actually knows about what's going on, that somebody Eeeevil seems to be coming back from hell, before looking curiously in DC's direction as he talks on the phone.

"You will have to ask one of the senior members about that," Shawna says apologetically.

"Well, Magtok, you might want to reconsider that plan. Shepherd's apparently ruling Hell-or some version of it-and...there are two Reinholdts. We have the one from the castle. The other is a resurrected version of the one who gassed GLoG. He came to us to tell us about Shepherd, then claimed only he knew how to deal with him and was released, against what I wanted to do. Wasn't my call, unfortunately. Not to mention he hasn't gotten back to us on that. Apparently he's supposed to be trying to help Shepherd manifest up here again and...refused, and would just be sent back if killed. Try to capture him if you see him again. As for Alek..." DC is silent for what, at least to him, seems like a very long moment. Then there's a sigh. "I can't believe I'm saying this to you of all people, but...thank you. Ugh." That seems to have left a bad taste in the psychic's mouth.

I'll tell Happy. We'll think over some alternative approach, I guess.

Pfft, sure. Dawdling about lazily and waiting for the enemy to come reveal its weaknesses and methods has only gotten people killed. Best to face this head-on, and back down only if absolutely neccesary.

You'll get on that ressurection attempt though, right?

Magtok does his best to sound entirely casual about that question, but there's definitely an underlying sense of desperation beneath the surface.

Shawna points at the deadtimed Wenomir, then at DC. "I believe they would could as the closest thing to elder members in the organisation," she says, listening intently to DC's side of the conversation.

[Moff Chumley]

Thanks. So, what do you do around here?

"I assist with the base's computer systems, and also on combat missions," Shawna explains. "The apprehension of evildoers is something of a passion of mine."

[Moff Chumley]

Hmm. I couldn't help but notice the library on the way up; you wouldn't happen to have its contents transfered into the digital domain, would you?

Jeremy returns some time later, bag full of blessed weapons and ammo. He stops when he sees Shawna and passes her a note. Need any? Also added a few rituals of my own. A bit more...forceful ones. She'll probably notice his trench coat has an odd pattern sewn into the hem, in a language that looks vaguely Asian in origin.

Shawna nods. "It is indeed in digital form. It's accessable from the comptuer room," she says, smiling and giving directions.

Before smiling at Jeremy. "Thank you, however I believe my own personal weapons should be sufficent."
She does indeed notice the writing on the trench coat, but doesn't comment upon it.

Ilyena nods. I'll get that transfered onto my machine, then. Ilyena's laptop is less of a computer, more of an experiment in the use of tiny portals. In several extremely secure locations, the vast storage systems and proscessors nescessary to store and manipulate the information Ilyena collects are linked with the laptop via portals allowing several wires through. ((Moff Chumley is not a computer guy and has no idea if it would work. I just thought it was a cool concept.))

Ilyena walks away to transfer the files, and should return in about five minutes, once everything is humming along.

Jeremy raises an eyebrow before writing another note. Energy based? Never liked them. No kick. When she sees the lettering, they seem to squirm for a moment under her gaze.

Yeah, something special about that.

"Perhaps there is no kick, however, they do tend to be more effective on a wider variety of creatures," Shawna points out. "Especially the plasma sword." Which totally isn't a lightsabre.

She points at the sigils, noting the squirming of them. "I presume your coat is enchanted to act as armour?"

Having no recoil tends to throw my aim off. I've used to many guns with it. Besides, the smell of gunpowder is lovely. As for blades, I prefer to feel it cut, to tear. Lets me know I hit my mark. he seems to chuckle a bit before passing a new note. No, that's what the 60lbs of Kevlar lining is for. The ritual on it is an exorcism ritual. It'll keep evil spirits from stealing my body or touching my mind. Cambodian. Very powerful. It doesn't care what kind or spirit or what religion it's from.

"I assume it woud be safe to say, you love the smell of gunpowder in the morning?" Shawna asks, chuckling softly. "And, I see. It seems that could be a most useful enchantment to have, in some situations. In my case, I am immune to most forms of possession due to my nature," she explains.

Jeremy smirks a bit. Perhaps I do. But perhaps I like the sound of it better. Who knows? He then raises his eyebrow again. Jeremy is quite good at that. I take it you're aren't as human as you appear?

"Indeed." Shawna nods. "I am human, or rather was born as such. However, I am a cybernetically enhanced being through the use of nanitic technology and biotechnological enhancements to my internal organs and bodily systems."

Ilyena returns from his task. So what's this we're preparing for?

Jeremy just shrugs at that. You're a cyborg or android then. No biggie. I've been here a short time and have heard of too many things to care too much. Have to admit, you look better than most I thought of. Thought that some of the cybernetics would be a bit more obvious. The note says as he looks over over closely.

"...the same thing we were preparing for before," Shawna tells Ilyena, raising an eyebrow, before looking back at Jeremy. "Thank you." She smiles...and suddenly an eyepiece emerges from the skin by her right eye, almost flowing out before forming into a targeting recticle in front of the eye. Then retracting again, vanishing completely. "I am from the future originally, so there has been much time in which to enhance the art of cybernetics."
