They're the bad guys, of COURSE they're supposed to have superweapons! They're supposed to have so many superweapons they've got superweapons to get rid of the aftertaste of other superweapons, so that we heroes are kept on our toes. That, and so that we have more stuff to blow up.

Most of the members? No, not really. Iames and BR like to play on the high end of the power scale, but most characters not played by them are either fairly weak or powerful only in melee.

AMEN does seem to have been ramping up quite a lot lately, with the lava cannon and the forcefield and the flying castle and the FREAKING DRAGON and the FREAKING MECHA, so hopefully the Embassy attack can nerf them a bit.

Well, Shrike is high on the power scale. Remember, Quinn (when not in RAWR NEIRIAN SUPER-CHAMPION MODE) is the glassest of glass cannons.

And WATCHTOWER's larger things are also countered by EM and Jack, not to mention Gordon and the lava cannon. (Also, WATCHTOWER has no mooks. Could potentially, but I doubt Evolution Security is willing to go up against what most of them have probably been told is a terrorist group.)

But WATCHTOWER is staffed by serious, motivated, intelligent people... in sharp contrast to AMEN. And, well, HALO and perhaps GLoG. But those two go from silly to SRS BZNS in no time flat.

Yes. It's all pretty balanced, I think. But that's just my opinion.

Besides, why do you think AMEN isn't whipping out their superweapon left and right? We use it on one organization, a load of others come and start a huge war.

And nobody wants that just yet.

And yeah, Moff, HALO and GLoG are pretty unstable in that regard.

If the current attack manages to disable the lava cannon, then I'm okay with the rest of AMEN's stuff, and I imagine IC it would go back to being a cold war. But as long as AMEN can attack other threads whenever it wants (whether it chooses to or not), the power balance is way off.

Yeah, I find anything that can destroy an entire organization, or even a large chunk of it, in one hit from a different thread a touch too powerful.

That's generally why my deadly trump cards tend to be airships and not killsats or anything like that. You can see one coming, you can stop it, hell, you might even be able to steal it. You can't exactly do that with a doom laser from space or something else like that.

The lava cannon is the only thing that really bugs me, as well. >.>
