Minharath's mind-bolt finds its mark, but the archer stays standing. Hope draws her horse back, and strikes up a little ditty about the strength of the Goliath warriors, hoping to distract Gregson away from herself.

However, the captain has other plans. He slips in closer, directing his soldiers to strike at the Goliath in his stead, while shouting encouragement to his archers. The injured one points at Minharath, and both fire bolts at him. The soldiers move swiftly to engage the grouped heroes, striking with their swords with killing intent.

As the drow rides towards him, the genasi warrior sneers at him, snarling "Out of my way, Deepborn!" as he turns his attention towards the one who had ordered him "subdued." Moving quickly, he tries to get at the guards' commander, stopping momentarily to strike down the guard in his way.

Despite having lashed out and been deflected by the armour of the soldiers, Lornath re-gathered himself and focused on the Soldier next to him and took a deep breath. A deep bass rumble started to seep out of his throat, building to a crecendo and a roar as he began to sing a battle hymn, cursing his enemies.
