I love that term and I have no idea why.

I like the term because "Earth --> Earthling", therefore "Perth --> Perthling".

Besides, "Perthling" just sounds so much classier than Perthian, Perthite, Perthsider, or any other similar terms.

Though I'm having a short break from Perth soon. In a little over 16 days I'm heading off for a 7-week trip to Europe.

Haha no way, my girlfriend and I were just discussing Fyshwick as a place to go on our trip to Canberra at the end of September

To quote her;

'haha yes, apparently we need to go to 'Fyshwick, an area crawling with warehouse-sized sex shops and brothels.''

We're also going to Questacon, and doing glassmaking and going to the library and going paddleboating... yay!

Yeah, that's pretty much Fyshwick. Depending on where you wind up in Canberra they might be selling fireworks, too ...

Those are all pretty good things to do in Canberra, dunno what else I'd suggest cause pretty much all of the things I do require that you live here first

I spose there're things like the War Memorial, National Museum, Portrait Gallery, both Parliament Houses etc. in addition to those things, but they can be a bit touristy (except the Portrait Gallery - it's fantastic! )

A long walk around Lake Burley Griffin comes recommended, cause Canberra is a city that (to outsiders) often looks pretty but contains nothing. So enjoy the pretty

Definitely take a nap on the couches in the National Museum's foyer. I slept for about 2 hours on one of those things...there's not much in there anyways.
