Not what he was expecting. His hand reflexively comes up to rub his nose, which results in the bat in his opposite hand being lowered. He blinks once or twice, abruptly suspicious that he may have been deadtimed for a long interval just prior to this moment.

"Urgh…right, what were we going on about? Pranking peoples' mail? Something like that. Sorry, I think I just tripped right into some sort of time distortion effect for a minute or two, there."

A minute? Try a whole fudging month, cyborg. You should be ashamed of yourself. Poor Libby's just been waiting patiently while you've been lost in your own little world this whole time. The cyborg peers down at his bat, suddenly wondering where he got this thing from, and why. Something about drunk frat parties? Blugh, everything’s just such a hazy blur right now…

"Okay, so…wow, that was some deadtime. Did I suggest phony birthday party invitations as pretense for luring people into prank traps? Maybe a tropical island full of not-quite-deadly scorpions and hideously ugly chimps?"

Now what, though? It's clear that this cube can kill Magbots, but how? Why? It didn't seem to kill Magtok when he had it, so it's clearly not some sort of condensed death elemental or something, is it?

Libby retains a patient look on her face as Magtok gathers himself back together.

It's a common state of being for her.
Patient.
A necessary trait, for something that must quietly wait off to the side, while Life has its fun and joy, ready to step in and take everything off to the next step when the vibrancy has at long last passed.

Even so-trapped amid the murky depths of frozen time, Magtok is a portal for her into that vibrancy. She can accept comparatively brief delays, for her taste of the light.

Mostly.

At some point, her bat returned to her hand, idly twirling amidst her fingers.
"Spectacle, however...our victims would require spectacle. Perhaps moreso than just mere scorpions and monkeys could provide."

Spectacle in some form or another seems to be the primary fuel for the Nexus, after all.

The truncated cube settles on the ground somewhere near the converted vessel, faintly pulsing at a slightly brighter intensity than it had before.


Given a few minutes, J1MMY will proceed to reactivate...very slowly. From the outer portions inwards, in direct defiance to the proper method by which electronics or organics should operate.
This may or may not be related to faintly detectable energies moving through the gilded patterns recently-grown across the poor thing, connected inwards to a rather dull and boring not-quite-a-cube at its core.

J1MMY will be fine.

Cessie nods in agreement, that's pretty much how she felt too. "Yes, not that." She says with a dismissive gesture.

"Okay, something other dragon like." The monkey replies. Then it suddenly collapses again as the specter emerges from it's body. It flies, grabbing the dragonscale dress and returns it to the employers section.

It then comes back with a new dress, a purple one this time. It's appears to of cloth but it have parts that would make one think of a plate armor. Large pauldrons for instance which seem to be in some form of very light yellow metal. In fact, they seem to weight less then the dress itself. There are more bits of this light metal adorning the dress, behind the head for instance where two bits of it are holding up a mantle just behind the head.

The rest of the metal have been woven seamlessly into the purple fabric, the two colors of royalty. Besides the complex adornments of the dress, it also differences from Cessie's dresses in two other aspects. First it's neck is rather low-cut and secondly it's far more form-fitting to the point where it looks like it will be clinging to the skin.

"This any good?" The monkey asks with a hopeful tone as it returns to the land of the living once again.

Hildur giggles at that. "There isn't much to tell, to be honest. It's a nice big cave, there's a natural spring that I sometimes swim in, and I've managed to get a few magitech things to make it more comfortable."

That honestly sounds pretty nice! Especially with the spring to get nice and clean in.

Well, if you're looking for an energy weapon that is, like, reliable and low-maintiance but hard-hitting at the same time, I reccomend one of these," Crissy says, producing a bulky and formidable-looking weapon. "It can be set to either kill or stun, and is effective against even targets that are usually hardened against magical effects."
