Re: Paladin Academy: A Playground Inspired Story
Precisely! Raz himself is Chaotic Good, but all you Paladin-y Lawful Good types are all right in my book. Shame about all your rules against stealing, though, even the just-borrowin' type of stealing.
I'm up to 16, and I'm liking it so far. I wouldn't mind Raz the Fox making an appearance once or twice, though probably as an unlucky thieving-bard/ess-person instead of a paladin. I'm not one of those knights in shining armor types, you know?

Yea I ain't one either, but I'm more of destructive rebellious kind of guy, I'd be hoping for more something like a barbarian or one of those wizards who like to make explosions

Re: Paladin Academy: A Playground Inspired Story
Hah, all these Paladins! Bring on the non-paladins, thats what I say! We'll either destroy the world...or save the paladins...depending on whether Silverraptor makes us good or bad!
Of course we all know Mangosta's bad...you evil demon king you!

Re: Paladin Academy: A Playground Inspired Story
Well, you know I'm a good guy... right?
Frankly, I'm kinda worried about how the massive influx of new characters will affect the story.Last edited by Blue Ghost; 2010-08-05 at 03:32 PM.

Re: Paladin Academy: A Playground Inspired Story
Psh. I volunteered at the start, and I've been mentioned once. If we're halfway through the first of 5 arcs, he's got plenty of time to work more people into the story. There's no reason he has to put them all in right away, after all. Could be that the only difference is that some unidentified mook down the line just got a name.

Re: Paladin Academy: A Playground Inspired Story
On how the influx of readers deals with the story: Put them in later arcs. I finally get in around arc 4 or 5. Next year. (Hopefully worth the wait, though.)

Re: Paladin Academy: A Playground Inspired Story
Alright then. Adding you to the list now. I assume "Raz" is an okay nickname?
Yes. Mainly this. I'm just trying to find people to add to the positions of the roles that are to come in the story.
Yes he did. And I can't thank him enough.

Paladin Academy: Part 27
-Cast-
Mordokai
Viola
Blue
Nil
Kurama
Penny
SpoilerThe sun was barely up when Viola awoke. She watched the sun rise over the horizon as she quickly got dressed. She knew that when the sun fell, it would be too late. She left the room just as Kurama awoke. She felt bad for leaving him behind, but she had orders to follow. She quickly went to the mess hall where she grabbed some food and hurried to Mordokai's office. She entered to see Mordokai, Blue, and Nil waiting for her. Mordokai addressed her behind his desk.
"Good. You came quickly."
She nodded at him.
"Well, everyone's counting on me."
Her insides squirmed uncomfortably and she quickly started eating. The feeling subsided somewhat.
Mordokai nodded.
"Good. We have some things for you on your task. Blue?"
The wizard stepped forward, holding a metal box. Viola watched as he opened the top of it.
"These items should come in use during your infiltration of the great furnace below."
Mouth full, Viola just nodded and looked inside. She saw a round, circular object that had a yellow ring glowing around it. Spaced in equal segments of the ring were lines that seperated the ring into many blocks. The last block at the bottom right glowed red instead. Two paper tags with weird runes inscribed all over them were also laying inside the box as well as a large vial of blue liquid. Blue spoke up again.
"The round object will act as a clock while you are separated from the sun. Each bar of yellow represents an hour of time, signaling the position of the sun. When it gets to the red bar, than you have less than an hour before the undesirables begin invading."
Viola nodded. Silently, she made track of which bar of time meant that she should be heading back for her promise to Kurama.
"The tags will allow you to seal the portal permanently. You need to set both tags 5 feet from the portal in both realms and the spell will active. However, be warned, for if you set the second tag while in the demonic realm, you will be trapped there. So make sure you set the tag for our realm last."
Viola nodded again. She noticed that she was almost finished with her food.
"And finally, the blue vial will be given to all paladins here. You are just the first to receive it. The liquid inside will grant the drinker restored energy as well as healing any wounds they might have attained. I would suggest that you hurry to the ruins and take a sip before entering the portal."
Viola swallowed her last bite before answering.
"Great. That will certainly help. And what are you guys going to do in the mean time?"
Nil answered her.
"We are currently preparing the fortress for siege. The main problem is we have no front door to the fortress since Grim knocked it down. So we need to prepare a barricade against the oncoming demons. It will take a while and require a lot of work."
"Which means it's absolutely critical that you successfully disable the device on their end to stop the invasion."
Viola inhaled deeply.
"So hurry up. Get suited up and get ready to go."
**********
Viola walks out of the changing room, fully dressed in her armor. The clock-device, the tags, and the vial were stored in the hidden compartment on her armor. She walked over towards the front entrance. She stepped over pieces of bent metal from the front gate. Suddenly, she hears her name called from behind. She turns around to see Kurama and Penny hurrying over to her. They stop in front of her and Kurama speaks with an anxious look on his face.
"Well... good luck."
Viola nodded back at him.
"Thanks. And I promise, I'll be back around noon."
Penny walked forward and hugged her around the middle
"You be careful, Okay?"
Viola hugged her back.
"Don't worry, I will."
She looked at the two of them for a moment before turning around and hurrying out of the gate.Last edited by Silverraptor; 2012-10-25 at 02:46 PM.
