Re: Minecraft Thread IX: Beginning of the End
Something very strange happened in one of my SSP worlds.
I had 16 sheep, one for every color.
I went mining, came back, suddenly had 18 sheep. 2 orange, 2 lime.
I can't find anything about it on the wiki, so I have no idea how it happened.
Do they just multiply spontaneously?

Re: Minecraft Thread IX: Beginning of the End
If the testing world gives everyone creative, I would suggest using the same safeguards that Ironcraft has.

Re: Minecraft Thread IX: Beginning of the End
Essentially, you have to die to leave the world. I don't know the exact safeguards. I'd ask Mem or Scuzz about that.

Re: Minecraft Thread IX: Beginning of the End
Heh, too late. The gate's finished now, I just need to build a gatehouse of some sort to hide the mechanism.
Well, that and get an admin to shift the entire thing down one block. Turns out I should have dug a little deeper when building my pit.
EDIT Gatehouse is mostly done now, just got to turn some of the dirt bits inside into cobble. If anyone feels like decorating the outside to mesh better with the corner guardhouses, feel free.Last edited by Tome; 2012-05-03 at 07:11 PM.

Re: Minecraft Thread IX: Beginning of the End
It's like Obsidian Junction. I own the town, but I've allowed others to build in it. I run the town, but what they build is their thing. I do stuff like laying out roads, walls, terraforming, managing lighting and helping people find a nice spot to build on that won't conflict with anything else.
Also, Im back from surgery, and am resuming construction. The store skyscraper has been completed, and a warehouse started. Expect the store to be restocked in coming days...though we may see a currency change due to wool becoming vastly more farmable.

Hm, I might just be losing my mind (It'd be a small loss), but it appears some fencing I put up (Terra, adjacent to 558, 76, -5) vanished overnight....

Re: Minecraft Thread IX: Beginning of the End
felt bad that i haven't been logging on due to work and wonky sleep schedule, so i did a little cleaning around rp town, mostly repairing and re-opening tale avenue, fixing some ender damage, and tearing down my gate skeleton and putting it's materials in a chest inside the gate Tome made. (BTW Tome, you'll need to /unlock that "for repairs" chest for other people to use it.)

Re: Minecraft Thread IX: Beginning of the End
Something with the server being transferred to a new computer, or something.
Should be solved soon, I guess.
And a new IP?
Maybe I'm misinterpreting a lot of stuff right now, but that's what I tell myself it is.

Re: Minecraft Thread IX: Beginning of the End
From what I know, the server is moving to a new computer. At the moment, the two computers have separate IPs, and therefore two seperate servers, and are both down, but eventually, both IPs will direct you to the new one. Currently, data and worlds and the like are being transferred between the two so that the new one will just pick up where the old one left off, but better (from what I hear the new box is slightly nicer).

Re: Minecraft Thread IX: Beginning of the End
Got stuff transferred.
New box is up at scuzzball.serveftp.com
Features:
-More maxplayers
-Replaced WorldInv (the thing for getting into hardcore) with another plugin of my own making, WorldGroups!
--Organizes worlds into groups. You have entirely separate inventory, health, location, everything for each world group. Replaces the need to die and stash stuff and all the hassle from before.
--Group 0 is the main group. Group 1 is creative/ironcraft. Group 2 is hardcore. Group 3 is rp.
--To tele to a group, use /wg <groupnumber> . You will be put wherever you were last seen in that world group (So you can be doing stuff at your hardcore house, /wg 3 to go participate in rp stuff happening with your rp inventory, and then you can /wg 2 and you'll be right back at your hardcore house with your hardcore inventory)
--It will automatically change your inventory and stuff whenever you teleport. So you can be in world, and then you can tp to someone in creative to admire their work, and your inventory and location will be saved for when you /wg 0 .
-Brought back the old creative world, with most of its stuff. Accessible with /wg 1 .Last edited by Saposhiente; 2012-05-06 at 05:18 PM.

And so passes the ending of an age.
Also, it seems that McMyadmin client is still down. Perhaps it has moved as well?

Re: Minecraft Thread IX: Beginning of the End
Deme, you wanted to be informed if anyone found any interesting caves or mines in RP world, right?
Well, I found a whole new cave system. Seems quite extensive and eventually leads into some mineshafts. Judging by all the unmined ores, I'd say they're unexplored. The warp for the entrance is rpweird.
Shall we get a group together and go spelunking?Last edited by Tome; 2012-05-06 at 06:42 PM.
