Everything about the Izele clans was a joy to read, and it's a shame that the GCD didn't have to bother with that BS conversion rule that ruined more of my plans than Mary and just ruined any illusion of new-player-friendliness.

Tychris' on-the-nose Undertale references were a combination of annoying and hilarious that will definitely stick around in my head as one of the most memorable themes of the game.

As for stuff I did... Well... It was pretty terrible. Here's to a better E3.

As for my own... well it was all crap. If pressed I'd have to say the Satsujin, but only because of concepts I didn't get the time to fully explore, only hint at. Shortly followed by the Aima.

My favorite character of my own was Maldarr. My favorite bit of personal writing was with Reggie in The Return of Branwen Morrig. Other writing I enjoyed was the 100th Chicken Fest of Adrax Awaria that got turned into the fantastic Empire Theater short by QB. I would say my favorite event overall was the Unification Celebration of Avonlea. It had the first appearance of Francesca Dumont, it had the Maldarr - Thalia - Willa love triangle. And the Aris and the Dullahan storyline was probably the most interesting overall, and it started there. So a big well done to Mary and Dark on that! Out of HT's tournaments, I think I enjoyed the first one the best because it had the most role play and was entertaining to read.

Oh yeah I never got to reveal what the strange mark on Anders's chest was. Zayuz gave it to me as sort of a consolation prize for the whole blue dome fiasco in which my heir died, but it was basically a private dome in that one bearing the mark could sacrifice another of royal lineage and gain protection from death for a round. The mark was passed on to the bearer's children. Not terribly practical, but there you have it.

That is a tough question...[...]...
I'd say that the Empire Podcast was a great idea if that counts.
Also NPC controlling players are good to, in order to relieve the GMs of extra work.

For me though? I am always super duper hyper critical towards myself, so it is hard to tell...
Maybe being a vassal for the first time helped me learn that I don't always have to be at the top of the food chain. Does the above count?

This is actually a great takeaway. Being the one in charge is fun, but it's not the only way to have fun.






For my own material, my favorite thing was probably the folklore and superstitions surrounding Krozna; I had a lot of fun writing short stories like The Pasuk, and I actually reused that one for a writers group I attended to positive reception. I've also reused some of it elsewhere; in an IRL Cyberpunk-ish game I'm running, one of the megacorps is literally a setting-transplanted South Sea Company (rebranded KROSSCorp, since it's a futuristic Megacorp rather than a Chartered Company).


For other people's stuff...hm. It's a hard choice, but watching Avonlea's political trainwreck courts go was pretty interesting, as were events in the Izele Clans and some of the interplay between the Aeldir courts.

As for my own, I really loved Aures and Cadwy. I had plans for them, that did not play through, due in part to becoming distracted by the Gauntlet. But I would assume most of you missed it when I had them marry.

@Vassals: I was a vassal of sorts in E1, but I was also kinda-sorta in charge of the religion my liege worshipped, so it might not be the same deal. It's important to remember, I think, that 'vassal' does not necessarily mean 'slave', 'powerless' or 'lesser'. But it can be fun to let someone else direct the big picture while you focus on a different goal.

At the end Jerry and I were gonna be trading liege status back and forth.

Actually, the Three Crowns got Roethye and tried to frame the Satsujin for it. We know this because Roethye's body didn't have a coin on it, and because one of the players told me in private

Quinton was GM of E2 for the majority of its run before the attempts at giving players space to expand completely backfired and nearly caused the game to capsize under its own weight.

Dark is still playing the villain (although for this game it's debatable whether or not Lord Winter was the baddie)

Tychris has discovered undertale and built a character specifically to emulate Undyne

Gengy went the child nation route and it actually worked really well.

Murgen had some halflings that got genocided in a 5v1 war before moving on to a college nation that pissed off everyone

Half was one of the two big time matriarchies we had in E2 and thankfully didn't go religious with it

Blade lost his sanity trying to keep track of techs

Pepper teamed up with Aed and Blade to form an anti-Waylander coalition

Elemental voted to excommunicate me

Durk actually managed to make an empire instead of cheating and making a federation

And if I forgot anything else we should all go with Elemental's plan

There's a section talking about the new Merchant Princes and Holy Nations, and the mention of a Great Kingdom player working with a faith player and a economic player to get sixth actions for everybody... I had a bit of a laugh and a Does this sound familiar...

Another thing is the non-humanoid races getting nixed - there goes my "Sentient Ooze Race" idea. Man that would have been fun to mess with, imagine the cultural differences... Ah well.
