The various piles of immobile sand all over the street continue to be various piles of immobile sand.

Feia continues to be polite and calm, undoubtedly with some sort of intention for the way this conversation is supposed to go.
"What was the last thing we discussed, prior to today's events?"

"Discussed?" Kirk questions. He recalls little talking. "I believe there was dancing. Not a lot of discussion." Their lips were rather busy.

Feia calm demeanor flickers into a slightly more amused one.
Such an interesting night, that was.
"You seemed to get rather caught up in the moment, if I recall correctly."

"I do that from time to time." The drow concedes. He can't help but wonder where she's going with this. "Any particular reason you're bringing it up?"

"Take me to them." Jack says humbly, studying his superior.

Aluskal leads Jack through a door on the right side of the main room, taking him to the infirmary. There's about 20 beds, with only half in use at the moment. A pair of Whites work here, changing bandages on those injured, feeding those who can't feed themselves, and generally making sure the people are taken care of. Most of the patients are those with simple injuries, such as broken limbs, but there's a few of the elderly who have come here to live in some sort of comfort during their last days.

On the far end, kept away from the others, is a young woman with black streaks under her pale skin.

Ivaz starts pulling out sharp objects from the container and laying them out on the table.

Good security measures. I mean, right now, the Fire spirit is bound to a ring. Kinda hard to lose that.

Demon Queen would turn her head to watch Ivaz, but because of the restraints, she can't.

So, guy, what's she said to get you to help? Huh?

"Not much. Just this and that about ultimate power and getting to stab people. I wasn't really paying attention to anything above her chest," Jack says in the most obvious I'm-making-a-bad-joke-so-don't-be-insulted voice ever, What'd she say to you to get your undaroos in a bundle?"

Demon Queen just glared up at him. She thought she might be able to plead with him, but she can tell that Jack is just as crazy as Ivaz.

Ivaz chuckles. I took on the identity of her deceased lover for a while. She grins to Jack. It was fun.

She picks up a fairly standard looking knife, then casually makes her way over. Dee, you know dear old Rasslin, right? She'll turn and lean back against the table, looking into Demon Queen's eyes. I need to talk to her bout something. Mind telling me where she is?

Jack stands up so as the clear the way for Ivaz and lets his grin grow wider than his face.
"Hope you like getting shanked, lady."

It was bleeding. It knew that much.
The rest?
The rest had been blurred together, mixed and cut and blended into an ugly, incomprehensible mush like so much Play-Dough.
What was it even? Was it a thing? A person? A he? A she?
It held its hands up in front of its face. Soft. Fleshy. Pale as a peach. Covered in cuts. Five digits arranged in a perfect ratio-GOLDEN MEAN-each tipped with a small, hard plate. Human?
Human.
It looked down.
Male human.
Nude.
He pulled himself up from the corner he was cowering-SO AFRAID-in and looked about. He was so small, so frail. Probably underfed, from the look and feel of it.
So many cuts...so much blood-WE NEED A TRANSFUSION, NOW-how could he bleed so much and still stand?
Simple.
He couldn't.
The little boy took three steps out of the alleyway and collapsed, frightened, pained, weeping.

Demon Queen swears at Ivaz. Like I'd tell you, you bitch.

Ivaz chuckles. Well, that is unfortunate...For you, I mean. It's wonderful for me. I wouldn't want all this effort to go to waste now.

She'll tap the stone in Demon Queen's chest with the knife. That's an interesting little item there. I wonder how hard it would be to cut it out? She grins. Then she quickly moves the knife and leaves a long, shallow cut just above the stone. Demon Queen cries out in pain.

"I figured that was her weak spot," Jack says sadistically, reaching down to poke at the stone with one long, sharp claw.

Tapping on the stone doesn't seem to do much. The red swirls on it are moving faster, though. Demon Queen grits her teeth and continues glaring.

Ivaz waves a hand. No, probably not. That's probably the strong point. Could probably take a bullet there and be fine.

No, that's what's binding a demon to her. So, if I were to just cut it off, is probably be doing her a favor. Would you like that, Dee? Would you like me to be a nice girl and cut out the demon possessed stone from you? Ivaz grins.

"No, no. The demon would go to hell. We'd probably get an award from some priest for killing the thing. People don't really like them, see?" Jack will use his claw to try and cut a circle around the stone, to make it easier to remove.

Demon Queen starts screaming in pain as Jack cuts into her chest. He might notice that her skin is turning black and leathery.

Before he can finish, though, Ivaz will try to grab his wrist and stop him.

Ivaz sighs and shakes her head a little. Jack, do you know the point of torturing somebody? It's not to kill them. It's to make them wish they were dead.

You cut out that stone, and odds are good that she'll die. We don't want that.

Demon Queen writhes as much as she can, clearly in pain. Her transformation seems to have stopped, though her skin remains black now.

Yeah...while she was free to move around. Her abilities are pretty much like telekinesis. Not hard to beat somebody when they can't even touch you.

Ivaz looks down to Demon Queen. Which is why I set up such good restraints for ya. You can't move anything. Which makes getting what I want easier.

Ivaz starts lightly running the knife along Demon Queen's leg. The she picks a spot and stabs. Again, not deep, but enough to hurt and bleed.

Jean is hereonce again, presumably accompanied by Tlannae, and looking alot more skittish and alot less lubricated than last time.

Given time, they'll probably stumble over the bleeding thing in the midst of the street, but there is plenty of time to talk until that happens.

"A-any place in particular you'd care to eat once the shift is done? I find the teahouse serves decent food, if y-you're fond of rice."

Jack can only do so much for broken limbs. But perhaps he can get to them momentarily. The wizard steps forward, stride generous and confident, toward the blackened woman. Leaning forward, his voice drops to a monotone, and he says, "Can I ask what ails you?"

Red Zone-Near the Incident

"G-good, I think you'll like it. I-it has a v-very calming..." Jean trails off as he sees the apparently dead child laying in the street up ahead.

"Oh dear Lords! Tlannae, look over there. Damn, I hope you brought an aid bag or something, this doesn't look good." Jean attempts to get closer to the kid without leaving himself open. In his admittedly paranoid head, something like this could very well be bait.

"I did. Let's see... A bit of ll'ati might help with the bleeding, then a touch of tanril to help numb him..."

Tlannae starts rummaging in the pouch at her waist.

Red Zone-Incident

After reflexively checking the rooftops for snipers and the area around the body for any mines or trip-wires that may be attached to grenades, Jean will hurry over to the boy's side. He grabs at a small roll of gauze he's got wrapped around one leg, and begins examining the kid for obvious injuries while he motions for Tlannae to hurry over.
