Yeah wow, that is actually pretty touching. I especially find this part to be true:

The show's inherently positive, friendly nature seems to bring out the best in people. And with the level of connectivity everyone now has with one another, gone are the days when the line between "real-life" friends and "Internet" friends was solid and clear. It has become a matter of whether our friends are available or unavailable; "online" or "offline". It is through this connectivity that this fandom came to rise, and it's through this fandom that so many lives were changed and innumerable bonds made.

I think I've met some of my best friends from this show, and most of my older friends share a love of the show as well. I know ponies is a popular conversation topic amongst my friends, and it always gives us something to talk about, whether it is crack shipping TG&P Trixie and The Smooze or simply debating who is best pony (Fluttershy, of course ).

Still, its been a fun run guys, and here's to another year!

I kind of liked the idea of putting a python twist on the fanon burning, if we ever do.
Something along the lines of; Season 2 Killed my Fanon...(It got better). But it's perhaps a bit unweildy.
