Zodiac Campaign (IC)

All three of the attacks connect with the troll, and with only one attack routine, Eurus has nearly finished the beast off completely. However though the wounds seem grievous, they begin to slow knit back together before his eyes. Clearly, the two headed variety share the regenerative traits of their single headed kin.

Araon

Araon nods to Eurus. "Indeed," he says as he drops the rations he was holding and draws his sword invoking his goddess. "Klintina, guide my sword to victory against these abominations.". It was the first time Araon saw two-headed monsters as these ones, but Klintina Bindar always protects his champions against fear.

With help of his new boots, he easily gave a step towards the ettin and unleashed a flurry of precise slashes towards the monster's torso.

Araon one ups the display of Eurus, 3 of his attacks connect, and one of them is a critical, and with the attacks, the ettin is finished off completely, dropping to the ground in a mess of gore.

Eleth up, Daciana on deck, Vanarath in the hole.

Eleth steps forward and concentrates to not get hit, while holding her hand over Eurus' blade. She winks at Eurus as the blade of his sword is suddenly bathed in fire ... something trolls well fear.

Continual flame. Because it makes me giggle if the troll runs away.

Eleth wreathes the sword of Eurus in flame, the wounds he will now deal will not heal so quickly for the troll.

Daciana up, Vanarath on deck, Mamoud in the hole, troll to follow.

Daciana glances at the troll. "There is no reason to fight anymore." as she attempts to weave a spell within its mind, her voice coaxing it to regard her as a friend.

The troll appears to stop its combative nature, while its wounds continue to heal. It does shy away from the flaming blade of Eurus.

After invoking another quick spell, the amazon asks "Can you lead us to the lair of that ettin with two upper bodies? And I am sure you will protect me if other trolls and ettins want to hurt me, right?" in the troll's language.

"Where is Grak right now? Do you know where a lot of other trolls and ettins are?"

"Lady Daciana, may you introduce me to your new friend?" the asks in Giant. "Truly they are a mighty troll. A big-big chief, I wager."

The paladin cleans his sword as he mumbles a short prayer: "Almighty Klintina, may this brave warrior fight in your heavenly ranks."

He then withdraws his weapon and lets Daciana handle the situation.

"I'm sorry about your friend. Do you know if there are other trolls or ettins nearby?"

Other trolls back at camp. No ettins.

The troll seems to ignore what Mamoud says, although he does bare his teeth at him. Perhaps wondering what the wizard would taste like.....

"He says there are other trolls at some camp. No ettins, though." Daciana says to the others, but also giving Mamoud a piercing glare to step back and shut up.

Daciana notes that Eleth' speaks in the exact dialect as the troll, right down to intonations. That doesn't make her any more or less personable, but it's as if she already had a tongues effect going without casting.

"Really? No ettin? Reaaaaally no ettins?!" Eurus walked near the troll, waving the fiery sword, mocking and threatening the monster.

The troll cringes back from the fire but bares his teeth at Eurus. The dervish gets the feeling that if he pushes it, the fight will break out again.

OOC: Its charmed by Daciana, not by you.

Eleth' puts her hand out. "Three or four trolls at the camp."

"Should we keep looking?"

Eurus

"We're looking for an ettin, not trolls. So I guess we move on," Eurus shrugged.

OOC: He doesn't really care if the fight starts again. With the flame-coated sword, he'd be glad to dispatch the troll if needed. He just wants answers as fast as possible.

The troll and the ettin didnt take a lot of care to cover their tracks, and Eurus is pretty sure he can track them back to their lair.

Taking a chance, Mamoud speaks to Danciana in Celestial.

"Perhaps your new friend may be persuaded to 'take you to his leader' as they say? Who ever serves as leader of the trolls may know more than this... er, these fellows."

Araon

The paladin nods slowly. "There are probably more trolls or ettins around," he says as he picks up the dropped rations and put them on his belt pouch. "This one doesn't want to cooperate, but I guess the trolls in their lair would."

"Er- Uh... Sorry about Grak," he says scratching his head, not sure if the troll can understand Common (the only language Araon knows). "Maybe there are trolls at the camp who know about Gemini and its ettins? After all, there's a reason of why this troll was with Grak..."

Turning to the troll. "Can you lead us to the other trolls?"

The ettin's attacks have occurred along this trail, about 2-3 days worth of hikes up it. We aren't exactly sure of where his lair is, but when you get attacked, you should be able to track back to it. Provided you survive, of course. As for the forces that will attack you, it will likely be ettins, maybe one of the two headed trolls that work for him as well.

The troll and the ettin didnt take a lot of care to cover their tracks, and Eurus is pretty sure he can track them back to their lair.

Mamoud casts summon monster III and brings forth a small fire elemental. He then speaks in Common, not caring if the two-headed troll understands.

"I suggest we destroy him, otherwise find a way to incapcitate the monster."
