As soon as I knew the basic plot I knew how every single scene was going to play out. Basically wincing with sympathy from past experience.

As such it was really really good and every character's reactions were perfect.

Just some details I loved:

Swearing in Celestia's name
First Non-Twilight letter
Big Mac is a good grandson

Who were the other ponies in that line up. They all seemed to be a little off from the normal pony pairs

That's how you do a live-action cartoon. Makes you wonder what they could do with pony, doesn't it? Twilight and co on the big screen... It'll probably never happen (not like that, anyway). But one can dream...

I'm with you that those were creepy. Did you find the "cute" ones worse than the lolth one? Are your feelings that intense about it? I guess my arachnophobia is much better than I thought, all I wanted to do was click away bring my body away from anything that might have a spider in it(blanket) and just generally look around for any.
