Sandy was silent for a while. He fiddled with his bandages, not looking either guard in the eye, and occasionally stealing glances at the night sky. It was cloudy, naturally, but he could still see the bright moon trying to peek its way through. Finally, and with a great sigh, he stuck his forelegs out where they could easily be cuffed and chained. "I've heard talk...vampires got some sort of mental link with their spawns. It...it might be best if...I don't exactly know where I'm gonna be held..." He let the thought hang and shut his eyes tight.

"Mental links? I never heard of tho-"

"He might be right. We'll just have to blindfold him and escort him to the guardhouse."

"Red, aren't you getting a little paranoid?"

"Look, vampires aren't your run-of-the-mill villains. We shouldn't be taking any chances with them."

Even the floor seemed like a good place to just pass out, but he had a goal now; just get to the guardhouse, then he could sleep. One hoof in front of the other, the engineer trudged behind Lemongrass, leaving Red to pick up the rear.

The trio buggered out of the clinic, with Lemongrass making sure to pass his thanks to the nurses. None to Dr. Usurper, noticeably enough. They would now make their way to the guardhouse through the deserted streets of Bridle Shores. Assuming nothing happens of course.

The kelpie giggled and twitched from the tickling. It broke her focus. Her color faded and the brighten in and out and the glamor wavered. She was still pink but it move from pale to strong to vivid to pale again. "Stop. Haha. No. Hehe. Ah can't. Hahahehehehe. Stop."

And like everything with this fae, the pink abruptly disappeared.

Lochbed saw her white coat. Her face curled back in horror. And instinct made her shove Ember back and scurry to the other side of the couch. "No Nnonono. Ah didn't think Ah was drained. Don't Look. Close your eyes, Ember. Don't look at me."

Ember paused, looking a little frozen for a moment before he opened one eye. And then opened two and looked upon her fae visage. He took it all in this time, as opposed to averting his gaze like usual until she glamored herself. He was hesitant at first but he then bit down on his lip and hugged her. "B-but...you can still be my cute and silly Lochbed."

Sandy made the trip in silence. A bit of him wondered how he'd look as a vampire, he always felt silly wearing black. But maybe if he made the inside of the cape red, that could make a nice contrast with his coat. Unless his coat lost color from this, or changed to black itself, or...or...Jeez, they really did a number on my noggin there... He tried to focus on walking straight instead of his future fashion woes.

Once they got to the guardhouse, he leaned forward and whispered to Lemongrass. "Are we there yet? Ain't never been to no guardhousing before." His voice wavered as he dimly regarded his surroundings.

She did and tried again, but this time, cliche hijinks would ensue, of the shippy sorts. The mare beast with her metaphorical four left feet went for a simple spin but instead clashed with Soft Serve. Gwynfillion fell on Soft, thwacking her muzzle against Soft's furry cyan chest.

I have the feeling this would be significantly more shipping and cliche hijink-y if they were human.

Gwynfillion continued to try to dance, but she was being stubborn stupid, especially without proper instruction, she wasn't good at the improv thing. 1,2,3....2.3.1..1.1....blargh.

Lemongrass glanced back with almost a kindly look in his eyes. "We're here. Just follow me." He indicated the large square stone building that made up the guardhouse. He led Sandy past the empty reception area, down several dimly lit corridors before sharply turning into a dank stairwell that marked the prison cells. There, he showed Sandy to the first available cell.

"With luck, we can get an expert to look at you in the morning," Lemongrass said as he closed the door.
