The first thing the girl will encounter is that drone of Niara's - ever-present; ever-curious. It lingers longer on the newcomer, whirring gently as it hovers just out of arm's reach, its red sensor scrutinizing her.

Niara glances up from her table, eyes peering through the few stands of stray fringe that have fallen out of place. She looks slightly woozy, like she may have had slightly too much to drink - though the only incriminating evidence is a single empty wine glass, nothing more.

Niara glances up from her table, eyes peering through the few stands of stray fringe that have fallen out of place. She looks slightly woozy, like she may have had slightly too much to drink - though the only incriminating evidence is a single empty wine glass, nothing more.

The girl steps back, tense, wary of the drone. Her left hand crackles with electricity.

The drone likewise retreats, though it backs off by several feet, over towards where its controller is sat.

Or rather, was sat. Niara is on her feet, the legs of her chair audibly scraping against the tavern floor. She raises a hand and makes herself known. 'Hey, there! Sorry, sorry. Don't mind NX2 there. Sorry, miss.'

If the woman is to be believed, the robot means the girl no harm.

It was a legitimate question. There's a high chance that the Nexus has, like it is so fond of doing, whisked another random person away from their home dimension and claimed them as one of its own. But, by the same token, there was also a chance that this girl had just lost her way on the streets of Inside.

Whatever the case, she seems pretty young to be hanging around in a tavern.

She'd wager it's some sort of rank in a discipline, but is pretty clueless otherwise.

Powerful? Probably. Dangerous? Potentially. Interesting? Most definitely.

'I'm assuming you were born with your abilities? At least, to some extent. I can't imagine you'd just be able to learn this, even if you needed training.'

'I... sort of.' Niara scratches at the back of her neck, smiling awkwardly. 'I have an aura... it's a shield that protects me, a bit. And I think I have the capability to do something else. But I don't know what it is.'

She hasn't done much in the way of experimenting, but she has a feeling there is some dormant power that Caelynn had unlocked in her.

At this point, she gestures to the gauntlet sat on the table next to her - the one Jason had traded to her.

'This is my most recent acquisition, though I might give it to an acquaintance of mine. I think she might appreciate it.'

A white-robed, gerbil cleric flies into Trog's, and by flies, I mean he slowly floats forward about a foot above the ground. The left half of his face is robotic, and is all too clearly an imitation of everyone's favorite cyborg. The rodent's only weapon is a metal staff, barely longer than the gerbil holding it, though it is a technological masterpiece, and the source of this cleric's powers. He eventually makes it to the bar and slowly levitates, landing on the counter top and asking for a dish of water and a celery stick.
