Random action, that's one way to put it. Ember, on cue, ack'd and fell over on the stool-chair he was sitting in. Aubade twitched reacted when he fell, but seeing he was okay, withheld action.

"Ack..what was that for Lochbed?" He asked 'owing' a bit as he tried to recompose himself. He wondered if being randomly tackled like this would have long term effects on his body.

"Ah'm crazy for ye " She got off Ember and grinned wickedly at Awbade. A shadow envelops her form. "Loch at me. Giving Ember all the attention. Awbade needs a hug too. Hehehe."

"By that logic," the griffon states while stepping in the foreground. "We need to take precautions with the slain victims."

That wasn't likely to be very popular with the families but it's something that might save lives. "How do we know if the dead will turn?"

"We'll take every precaution to keep their identities secret at least, if they do rise. Their loved ones do not deserve such a terrible fate," Stormcloak said grimly.

"Without going deep into the philosophy behind 'being in danger', not that I can see. As far as I remember, even if everything went right for the vamp, blood, dark magic or whatever, et cetera, there is one very important factor for being a vampire:

They're undead. Meaning that by definition, to become a vampire you have to be dead, then come back to life. So at present no, not in any real danger. Personally, I'd advise a check anyways, but since we're fresh out of spellcasters who can do that, to my knowledge..."

"Oh, yeah. You won't be able to remember anything major without a serious (and intrusive) mental investigation." He nods sagely.

"...Um. I don't really think anypony in the room or the famileis of the deceased need to know, other than it's ah...simple." He looks uncomfortable.

"There is supposed to be a psychologist that just moved in from Texas. But knowing the ponies there..." his voice trailed off, indicating what he thought of those ponies there.

Gearstride let go eventually and wiped her eyes. "You know what we have to do right, crew? We have to deliver justice to those who hurt our Sandy and those other ponies."

"Then I'll just have t'find one...somehow." There was bound to be an important clue in his memory somewhere, he just knew it. Now if only Bridle Shores had a psychologist, one who always seemed to have just what the plot called for...

Sandy bit his lip to keep from saying anything stupid. He'd make it bleed at the rate this conversation was going.

Sandy slowly eased himself up off the bed, glad to be pain-free for the moment. "Took th' words right outta my mouth, Cap'n. Let's see how well them monsters fare in a fair fight."

"Well first, we need to find them, no?" Silverpine said, looking at Stormcloak.

"Yes. I doubt even your airship would be able to bring justice to a ghost," Stormcloak said.

Clinic

So then after sleeping a bit more, Luka rubs his eyes, he's still laying on his back, still a bit sleepy and his voice still kinda whisperish, then looks around, notices that Snowflake's still sleeping and that his left hoof was resting on his barrel, he smiles at both facts, then calls at the pegasus from his matress.

"hey...it's day already, good morning, how did you sleep?"

He seems to be actually really thinking of the "sleep" part

Snowflake was jolted awake by Luka's gentle prodding. She turned over and blinked blearily at Luka, a small smile on her face. "Good morning to you too. I slept well, thank you very much. You?" She stretched and yawned.

"I'd rather nopony put holes in me? If that's alright?" Sandy nervously piped up.

"Well first, we need to find them, no?" Silverpine said, looking at Stormcloak.

That comment brought a little smile to Sandy's face. "Had them before, sir. They're pesky, but not so bad once you can hit 'em right." That had been one heck of a hiking trip. Who would've guessed they'd stumble right into a haunted graveyard?

"There is supposed to be a psychologist that just moved in from Texas. But knowing the ponies there..." his voice trailed off, indicating what he thought of those ponies there.

Sandy did a few last stretches to work out the kinks that magical healing always brought. "If that's what we've got, then that's what we've got. There's a clue t'all this stuck up in my head, an' I'll be darned if I'm going t'let it go t'waste 'cause of a little craziness."

He threw Gearstride a firm salute. "Requestin' permission t'track down this here psychologist, Cap'n." He noticed Rainbow lurking back in the hallway, still looking furious and potentially ready to assert her right to put holes in him. The engineer gulped and added nervously, "Er, with an escort, of course."

Lochbed put a confused look and taped it to her face. "Smoothies? During my pony watching I heard of a pony named Smoothie. Are we going to eat her?"

Yeeeeah. Even if Smoothie were still in this universe, Lochbed wouldn't have any chance of that.

"Very well, then, I guess," The marebeast softly said with minor disappointment though she wasn't sure why. "Bye then. paladin."

"Goodbye Gwyn." Soft gave her a goodbye kiss and left for home.

She blinked and adjusted the collar of her wet suit. Well, okay... not really much stronger than strawberries, but if you're sure.

Stormcloak listened to the two and sighed. "Fine. He can go. I don't see any other reason to keep him here and we have better use for our limited ponypower anyway." He nodded at the guard who had led the group down. The guard scurried off and returned with a piece of paper.

"Sign this. It releases him into your custody." Silverpine glanced over the document, before scrawling his signature on the bottom. Stormcloak nudged the cell door open and waited at the entrance, evidently waiting for the group to depart.

Aero's bed is empty, and he is putting a cloak and hood on! It looks like he's going to sneak out!

Still sleepy, Staccata isn't having much success smiting that stupid alarm clock that keeps defying her.

"Heh, well, with luck, today I can go back home... and go back on duty," Snowflake said, rubbing her eyes. Just in time, the nurse appeared with their breakfast. Oats and milk, it seems today.

Of course, he's capable of saying that without blushing much since he's still sleepy . He looks again at his oats for a bit longer, recognizes it and then starts eating.

He wouldn't have much trouble, Aisis and Mile seems to be sleeping, she's laying on her side, still covered with the blanket and making the "zzzz" noise, then SUDDENLY, MILE! and looking at him from the bed! "You're going?"

"Hi there. Apparently I'm here looking for an wounded advance scout for a grand army of darkness?" He says to the receptionist.

"I'm still eating..was still eating breakfast Lochbed," Ember said returning to his seat. "Perhaps-"

She leads him to the same room Ironblade's in, Zaros would see he's sleeping on the farthest corner, the beds where Aero, Mile and Aisis are supposed to be in are covered by curtains, protecting Mindfreak's plot

And so, the crew walked around town, asking questions, following leads, having Rainbow give any and all dangerous-looking ponies the stinkeye, but nopony had heard of their crazy Texan psychologist.

"I just don't get it." Sandy mused as they walked. "There's only supposed t'be one of these psychologist types in town, it's not like we could get her confused with somepony else, so why in the hay has nopony even seen-"

Sandy looked down. Somehow, a flyer had managed to fall face-down in the street, glue side up. And, surprise surprise, he'd stepped right on it. "Oh that's just nice..." he muttered as he tried to magic it off, but darn it if that wasn't some sort of super glue. He sat down on his haunches, straining to pry the darn flyer off. To the rest of the crew, they'd get a good look at the front:

"Come, bring all from the insane to the insomniacs, to the only psychologist in town! Walk-ins welcome!"

There was an address and a picture of her building...which just so happened to be right down the street. Huh.

Snowflake blinked, trying to reorganise her befuddled thoughts. Could it be...? Nah, it couldn't be. She chewed on a bundle of oats thoughtfully for a moment before replying. "Well, we don't work together officially. But often the militia help out with the guards where needed."

He raises his head after eating a good chunk of the oats
"I hope we do meet again, you're the nicest and cutest mare I've ever meet...."
He just gives out a sincere-looking smile after saying that, he's still noticeably sleepy, overriding his blush button and making it more credible

"If it helps your nerves any, I'd say it ain't goin' so hot here." Sandy chimed in. In his struggle, all he'd managed to do was get a second hoof stuck to the poster, and was now trying to shake it off. No luck for the engineer today.

The flyer itself had little else. Hours (it was open), directions (it was right over there), and an stylized, happy, smiling unicorn mare (it was the psychologist). Didn't mention price, but maybe they could chalk this one up to "On-the-job expenses" next payroll.
