Limbo is the name of the plane where the chaotic giraffes live. But limbo is also a game where you have to pass under a pole placed parallel to the ground and lowered as the game progresses. The joke is that the giraffes are good at the game because they live in the plane with the same name.

The chaos giraffes are from the plane of Limbo.

V also cast Bear's Endurance on himself in the previous comic. Whatever damage he may have gotten from the Chaos Hammer will be further soaked by that bump, if I recall 3.5e's rules for that spell (+4 to CON, so another +2 HP . . . I want to say that's per level of the caster until the spell ends?).

+2 HP per hit die of the target (and +2 to Fort saves and Concentration checks), for one minute per caster level of the caster. Vaarsuvius has 16 HD and 17 CL, and is both the caster and target, so will gain 32 HP for 17 minutes.

Per level (technically Hit Die) of the target. Which in this case would be the same, except for Blackwing's anklet giving V a +1 to his caster level. Caster level only sets duration.
V gains Lvl*2 HP. Dangerous though. If he's down in those 32-ish hitpoints and it gets dispelled, he drops below zero.

And I was really expecting a Fireball to be stacked on top of that Hammer (from V). Sure, Protection/Resist Fire, but V probably has lots of fireballs.

Yeah, 2HP per level for the duration and +2 to a Constitution saves that might be required, too.

Prediction: DurkonT or one of his spellcasting minions is going to try Dispel Magic on Vaarsuvius - buffed against mind control, level drain, Bear's Endurance, Stoneskin - just too many buffs. Whereupon we learn that V has Bloodfeast the Extreminator in a pocket of their robe. And then Bloodfeast will proceed to further T-Rex DurkonT's plans. If memory serves, Bloodfeast would also soak up one casting of Dispel Magic and protect V a little longer.

EDIT: (Greater) Dispel Magic targets a creature, and Bloodfeast wouldn't be a target simply by being in V's pocket - unless Rule of Funny triumphs.

I will note that "rule of narrative" has a helping hand here, namely insofar as Mooks tend to get a single roll for the collective, rather than individual rolls.
