Re: LaLa's Laughably Silly Random Banter Thread - RB #158
Yeah, but down here I can't go a day without seeing a shirt that says something like "The South Will Rise Again" Personally, I think that's separatism and it really pisses me off
On a nicer note, the Southeast is actually quite a lovely place if you ignore the unfair share of idiots we have around hereAll avatars you may see on my profile are handmade in my home in the foothills of North Carolina. Please support your local avatarists.

Re: LaLa's Laughably Silly Random Banter Thread - RB #158
Continuing with from last night's movie, I'm now watching the second Godzilla. I've started to notice that these old Godzilla movies do something that is able to evoke quite a bit of emotion, unlike the later movies. The directors were willing to burn the sets. In the first movie, when Godzilla attacks Tokyo BURNS. It is terrifying, and incredibly sad. Later movies only had Godzilla smash cities, which is all good and fun, but it misses the much darker tone of the older movies.

Ah, the classic days when Godzilla wa arguably a villain. I still need to actually watch those ones, I'm more familier with the "rampaging protector" phase.

Re: LaLa's Laughably Silly Random Banter Thread - RB #158
Same with me. That's why I'm taking a look at the older ones, because I'm so unfamiliar with them. The first Godzilla movie was actually surprisingly deep. It turned out to be a mature look at how nuclear warfare can totally mess things up, but also at the fact there are times when we need a superweapon just like the atomic bomb to prevent loss of life, in this case to kill Godzilla. I think it might be my favorite one, or at least very close to Godzilla: Final Wars.

That's totally fine Dragonprime. But there is a difference between one spider, and one billion of them.
