Bright sunlight fell upon Konohagakure, the sign of a good morning as the citizens of the Village Hidden in the Leaves woke up and began their own days. Streets began to fill with milling citizens and shinobi of the esteemed village, under the ever watchful eyes of the two juggernauts carved into the cliff-side behind the village. The Shodaime and Nidaime Hokage, in all their stern majesty, were almost larger then every building within the village but brought a sense of comfort to those under their gaze.

Storefronts and shops opened their doors, allowing customers to come in and purview the fine goods, even as the mighty gates to the village creaked open under the protection of two shinobi apiece. Other defenses, invisible to the naked eye, were always in place to protect the village from attackers but few knew the nature of those defenses.

Like always though, in the world of shinobi, things could never remain peaceful for too long and all it was waiting for was the match to set off the dry leaves...

Sen

I've fought enemy shinobi in the dozens, subdued the Nine-Tailed Beast within my own body, and kept the trust and loyalty within the village sacred no matter what might happen...but this may be the biggest challenge yet.

The grim thoughts seem to echo within the Hokage's office, filling the mostly empty space with the unspoken words as the tall man behind the desk lifted his pen.

Why is that no matter how much paperwork I finish, there is always another batch? Maybe someone is trying to assassinate me via over-work. That thought brought a small tug at the corner of the Sandaime's mouth, a dry sense of humor informing him that it would certainly be an attempt that he would never see coming. But the little humors didn't change the fact that he wanted to be out there in the village, talking to the people, giving advice to it's shinobi, and quite simply taking action! If this kept up, he'd explode from pent up energy before the next training session with his disciple!

"Tomoya, where have you gotten yourself off to?" Though he spoke in a level tone of voice, the gravelly noise seemed to fill the room as he stroked his chin in contemplation. "How much more of this paperwork remains? I have been locked in this office for too long."

Haruka is currently wandering down the street in her spare time.

Well, Akiko seems to like it here... although it is only temporary.

Raiden Himura, might also be seen in the streets, trying to find some pens for his art.

Tomoya stuck her head out from around the pile of papers, arranged in neatly stacked groups, in front of her in the corner of the room, where she sat at a low table doubling as a desk.
"I'm here sir!" She said, straightening up like a perfect cadet. "Remaining paperwork consists of twenty three work orders, thirty six new shinobi job requests, fifteen dispute resolution matters, and six billings from extraneous damage, sir!" Estimated completion time is two hours and forty minutes." She paused and waited for his response - would it be approval? Or would it be disapproval?

The Kumogakure Jounin pauses.

In one of the training fields, Hatsumi Sokaku led a class of genin fresh from the academy in a supplemental taijutsu course. His own senseis said he needed to teach more than he needed to be taught. Only time and practice could grow his skills, at least for now.

"Now, if someone comes at you from this general direction..."

He steps towards another chunin, there as a teaching aid. Said chunin goes through a slowed-down throw, so that all the genin can see it. Sokaku rolled with the throw, going down but obviously not being hurt.

"You respond with a throw like that! Now, such a throw only works of people near your own body mass, or somewhat under it-"

He continues his lectures for a bit, smiling as he does so.

Teaching like this really was a joy for him.

Nice to meet you. I was just trying to find some decent pens for my art... I hate having to get imports, always expensive.

He grins.

Well, one of my Genin- she's a Chuunin now, but still- back in Kumo says the land of Fire makes some brilliant pens if you know where to look in the imports section.

A twitch of his right eyebrow, the only response to the given time for how long it'd take to finish, and then Sen gave his assistant a nod.

"Very well, put the work orders and billings on the back burner. I'll handle the other matters once I return." Without much ado, Sen rises up from his desk and crosses his arm across the small of his back even as he looks out the many windows into his office. "Take some time off as well, your attention is beginning to wane from weariness. Get some sun, eat, whatever you need to do, I need you at your peak efficiency. Go now."

The dismissal comes abruptly, Sen's back turned to his assistant to keep his own exhaustion from showing on his face. It was best not to let her see such weakness, she had a tendency to blow things out of proportion. A small sigh would become a death rattle to the poor girl if her imagination had anything to say about it.

In truth, he wanted to enjoy the sun and breeze himself.

I suppose I will have to order some then.

Well, here they're domestic market.

I'm just heading to the apartment I'm in while I'm in Konoha.

He asks curiously.

No, I'm not.

I'm from Kumogakure, and I'm here... well, as a temporary ambassador, and because the Sandaime Raikage wants me to be prepared for becoming Yondaime.

[DoomITP]

Interesting, I think that the Hokage is going to be giving me a squad at some point, so I'm mostly killing my time experimenting with my fire jutsu.

[horngeek]

Well, I'm pretty much an exclusive Raiton user, since I have big advantages in that element.

She grins.

Care to train sometime? I could use a partner, if only a temporary one.

[Kasanip]

Tomoya rose without hesitation. "Yessir!" She replied earnestly, making sure the papers were in proper order before she swivled about and stood in front of the door.
"May I ask, sir, that you please call me when you wish for me to finish the work." She bowed.
"Thank you for today's lessons!" She said respectfully, before she turned and made her exit from the room.

All right. That could be interesting.

She grins.

Yuuta was just passing through the gates into Konohagakure, giving a half-hearted salute to the guard standing there, a grin on his face. It was good to be home after a mission as always, this had been one of the longer ones, surprisingly. Who knew it would take so long to escort a damn bridge builder? No matter, he thought as he walked down the streets, the familiar smell of the city coming back to him. Everywhere up and down the road he waved to the familiar faces. Right, I just need to finish my report. He thought, making a mental note as he walked by Town Hall, before coming to an abrupt stop. Hmmm, I wonder if Tomoya's around... Yuuta wheeled around on spot and walked into the building.

A very slightly sweaty Sokaku nearly ran into Tomoya on his way into the Hokage tower.

"Tomoya! Good to see you? Do my eyes deceive me, or are you actually taking a break?"

His eyes twinkle, and there's a slight teasing tone to his voice. His left hand holds a few sheets of paperwork; the requisite forms reporting how the training went.
