Aye! Course, when I were a lad, growin' up in Yorkshire we 'ad none o' this fancy central heating malarkey. I remember me dad sittin' me down at table an' placin' a candle in middle. He says to me "Son, when you see frost on them there windows, ye can light it!"

That is what I end up sounding like when I talk to my parents. I develop a reasonably deep Yorkshire accent and pick up on the dialect. On the topic of fish and chips, some of the best ones I've had were in Askrig, a small hamlet in the Yorkshire Dales, though a lot of that was likely the company.
