I think I like most stories where the whole "vampires hate sun" thing is done differently. I'm trying to remember a series I read once where the main vampire girl mentioned it only being irritating to the eyes and weakening her by a bit. She was still super-humanly strong. Possibly because she was a very old vampire. But yeah it's good to see, another great point to Dracula.

Well, strictly speaking, the "catches on fire" is it being done differently, although just about every adaptation uses different rules for vampires. I too prefer that kind of flammability to be relegated to things like Cesium, and not supernatural hunters, though.

It's apparently real. It was spotted at a Target in Canada. Whether it was a complete mistake based on wishful thinking, or a mistake based on early information, I have no idea. It is possible that nothing eventuates from this.

There's a high end regional ice cream chain out of Columbus called Jeni's, and they had absinthe ice cream with actual absinthe in it. Friend bought a pint and ate it throughout the evening. Pretty sure he got tipsy, even though you didn't have to be 21 to buy it.
