Re: Dragonprime's Dynamically Dangerous Dextrous and Destructive Random Banter #118
So I started reading The Divine Comedy a few hours ago. I'm still on the Inferno, and it is quite freaky/intersting stuff. Dante certainley had talent for depicting agony, as did the man translating the work. And Virgil is totally awesome for defeating Cerebrus using fistfuls of dirt.

Mumble mumble yeah it's pretty good mumble.

Anyway, today was otherwise fine.
EDIT: Dang, I just realized that dragonprime's post had absolutely nothing to do with sarcastically rejecting mine.

I don't know what kind of Hell that is.
Wait. Is "is" a preposition in that sentence?

Re: Dragonprime's Dynamically Dangerous Dextrous and Destructive Random Banter #118
"Is" is not a preposition...unless I'm one of those wannabe-grammar people who doesn't know what she's talking about. But I believe I am right.

Something light which fits in a USPS flat envelope and only incurs the <$4 fee instead of the Global Priority >$10 envelope, if possible. International shipping fees sucketh verily. Or you could accept that you need to label the contents on the stupid Customs sticker anyway, realize that any element of surprise is shot, and just ask the recipient what she'd like to receive, provided she's still on speaking terms with you.
Ashtar: Doesn't that work well if you have the pool of people there to draw upon _before_ needing the favor? As far as I know, the target of Coidzor's affections lives in, so far as his social circle is concerned, the Here There Be Dragons bit of the map; I assumed she was the only one in the area.Last edited by Quincunx; 2009-03-25 at 05:20 AM.

Re: Dragonprime's Dynamically Dangerous Dextrous and Destructive Random Banter #118
Coidzor, the best is you find someone close (geographically) to the person and ask them to send something. That avoids all the hassle of international post! Also you get random strangers sending gifts to your friends on your behalf, how cool is that?

Re: Dragonprime's Dynamically Dangerous Dextrous and Destructive Random Banter #118
oooh, we'll need to hear more about the person in case for that one. A good idea is to send them things they can't get there - like, I would send people Tim Tams and Vegemite and Live Koalas, you'd probably send some American Candies and what not?
Also, which continent?
Also also, way to go Dragonprime, distract her from my terrible grammar...
Also also also, can anyone tell me what the plural of Felix would be? I was thinking Felixes, just cause it looks cool.Live, Laugh, Learn, Love,

Re: Dragonprime's Dynamically Dangerous Dextrous and Destructive Random Banter #118
It'd be Felices (pronounced fell-uh-seez).
Well, that's assuming it follows the conventions of pluralizing "helix"
