4 arrows fly at you and stick, protruding noticeably from various points in your armor. only one penetrated far enough to do any damage, but one would not know by looking at you. your lack of reaction and will to fight strikes fear into the hears of your enemies. [take 7 points of damage!] when you advance upon the 2 remaining archers near you, they flee in terror. you manage to drop one with an AOO.

After successfully halting the advance of the phalanxes, Deklin and Evan withdraw. Members of the Fighters Guild file past them and charge toward vulnerable positions in the phalanxes. a bolt from Emalus' ballista penetrates the shield of one of the legionnaires, impaling him along with the soldier next to him. This exposes the commander, and the opening is just enough for Aramil to sneak an arrow past his shield. He staggers and appears to fall as legionnaires reform around him and lock their shields.
