Well if Lume helps her with her search she will explain that she has no memory of her life before a few weeks ago, and is looking for some information on memory loss. I assume there are some medical like books here that might have some general information on memory loss which Yuki will spend some time reading unless Lume wants to talk, must be pretty lonely just sitting around by yourself in the infirmary.

Lume would be happy to help her look, and will, if she so desires, run a soul scan on her to see if the problem is there (which it would likely be if, for example, the memories were repressed from traumatic events). He's also quite glad to have someone to converse with; it distracts him from the endless cycle of guilt from his past.

When Mackerel does awaken, he'll go back to ticking off names in the Book of Ancestors, which also keeps track of inter-ship relationships by noting which ship each crew has joined when they marry, and also which ship they came from when they marry onto Mackerel's ship.

Lume is glad to see his patient recovering so well from both the physical and the emotional trauma.
