Tch, I can see hints of that now.
His reactions in the comic of 04/12/2002 show that he doesn't handle situations he hasn't seen or predicted well at all. His manipulation of Dirk is very skilfull, showing he's done this before.

I admit the comic is still likeable, although it plunged rather quickly from light-hearted seer and his daily tribulations to Slyvan Oracle Demands That Deegan Save Her/His/Its People.
But at this stage he's still being out-manoeuvered, so yes, I can see the Golden Age staus.
Iust where abouts then did he hit the Silver Age?
