I think I might stay out of this.
The only song stealing I ever got mad about was when Girls Aloud did "Walk this way", that rock song belonged to Aerosmith! It is not yours to toy with in a pop format!

Well, I'm a little mad about kid rock and his "american badass" music stealing from Metallica. Then again, I do enjoyed american badass.

But the worst is happening here in Uruguay and Argentina, local music style: Cumbia. It's awfull, I hate it. I am a man who enjoys an incredible ammount of different music kinds, I go from heavy metal to opera and to cheesy oldies in a few minutes. And there's a cumbia band making remakes of famous oldies, but in spanish and in the monotonous cumbia style. So far they ahve raped classics like: Last train to london, I dont wanna miss a thing, I'd love you to love me, total eclipse of the heart and more. When is this madness going to stop?????

Muse.

Muse are incredible.

Even if you don't like their style(s) [they vary so much it's unreal], you have to admit that they are genius. The harmonies and progressions are beautiful and Matt Bellamy can sing as well as write and play like 3 instruments.

I mean, it's technically wonderful and aesthetically beautiful.

But that's just me.

Atreyu are pretty good around The Curse/Deathgrip. Suicide Notes is decent and the rest is dreadful.

The chorus isn't the progression at all.
In fact, I couldn't discern much of a progression at all, so that's not what's in question here. The vocals have the same pitches for the chorus, but I'm thinking that in that particular key, after Coldplay had written the lyrics, it's quite possible that the pitches worked out perfectly with their chord progression (they do), and given the stress of certain syllables, that that particular rhythm worked out just right for the lyrics. If I were on the jury in the lawsuit, I'd have to say not guilty, just because it works out either way.

EDIT: Bellamy is a musical genius. 'Nuff said.

Ok, now I love you. Freddy Mercury was by far the best, frontman, singer, showman, songwriter ever, ever,ever. I dont know why but I've been listening to queen and almost only queen during the last month, heck, my final presentation for one of my last semester classes was inspired by queen.
And there's something about show must go on that really gets to me, specially the part when he says:

Then you can listen to them all. I wish Kerrang played more Queen songs, all they seem to play lately is New Age stuff laced with banter.
