Re: TwoBitWriter's Tubular Tracts of Thought-Talking Random Banter #111
I AM SO TICKED OFF AT MY FREAKING COMPUTER RIGHT NOW!
Okay, so I wiped the system because I kept getting the Blue Screen of Death. Before I did it, I backed up EVERYTHING on DVDs. I put them back in to check that they had all written properly, and they had.
So I reformatted my hard drive.
I loaded my documents, videos, and pictures off one disk.
Then I got the music disk.
I stuck it in.
A message popped up: FORMATTING DISK.
I HAD 4.2 FREAKING GIGABYTES OF MUSIC! AND IT'S GONE!
I know I have older backups, so at least I can recover SOME of it, but I BOUGHT SOME MUSIC THIS FALL THAT IS NOW GONE FOREVER!

Re: TwoBitWriter's Tubular Tracts of Thought-Talking Random Banter #111
Ooooh, was it that one about their song? I love that one.
...don't tell anyone...
Our song is a slammin' screen door
Sneakin' out late, tappin' on your window
When we're on the phone and you talk reeeeeeeal low
'Cuz it's late and your mama don't know.
Sorry, just makes me remember being a cutesy teenager and all the stupid adorable stuff like that I did.

Re: TwoBitWriter's Tubular Tracts of Thought-Talking Random Banter #111
This is why I burned all of my music onto CD's when I got it. I have very little music, compared to most folks, so losing any of it is a large part of my collection.

Re: TwoBitWriter's Tubular Tracts of Thought-Talking Random Banter #111
Pretty much all the music I have is either on my Mp3, on a CD, or is on a memory stick.
I hope I never lose a single song, especially anything from my Guns 'N' Roses and ACDC CDs. Now that would be tragic for me.This avatar pierces the heavens and is by Miss Nobody!SpoilerOriginally Posted by Anuan

Re: TwoBitWriter's Tubular Tracts of Thought-Talking Random Banter #111
Firstly, I have at least 24gb of compressed mp4 files, so imagine how pissed I'll be if I do something stupid like back it up to DVD wrong and get an error message while reloading my PC.
Also, this is why I use TPB.org. If you've bought it already, just go DL some and piss off your ISP. It's not like you didn't pay for it.
These mp3 sellers, they should have some sort of way to regive you their music which you have paid for, but they phale. So nyeh.Nobody helped me in any way, shape or form with this avatar, I found it in a child's shoe.

Re: TwoBitWriter's Tubular Tracts of Thought-Talking Random Banter #111
Yes.
You're a strange, strange snake.
I just can't bring myself to buy full CD's anymore. If I'm lucky, I'll listen to maybe half the songs on one regularly, and that doesn't happen often. Switched to buying individuals off of Amazon and never looked back. Burn 'em onto a CD as a physical backup and away we go.Last edited by Cristo Meyers; 2009-01-07 at 01:11 PM.

Re: TwoBitWriter's Tubular Tracts of Thought-Talking Random Banter #111
hmm... I very rarely buy music. Then again, I rarely acquire music either, so it kinda stands to reason, now doesn't it? Usually I just use things that let me listen to a particular or random song and sample the bit until I get sick of it and go on my merry way.
...Urgh... I think I just threw up a little in my mouth. Anyone else get that sort of reaction when miscommunication leads one to believe that something especially dire, like, murder or rapine is being discussed and it turns out to be something rather trivial and your stomach becomes enraged at the inability of brains to communicate with each other?

Re: TwoBitWriter's Tubular Tracts of Thought-Talking Random Banter #111
Most of my music has been sent from freinds. I dont think i've ever bought a phsyical CD for personal use. Most (if not all) of the music CD's predate my birth. Some of them are still excellent, though. Especially Joni Mitchell.

I used to borrow CD's from my friends and copy them into my XBox so's I could listen to them all the time.
