Well Sphinx is stated on the SRD and Half-Minotaur template is there somewhere, so all it takes is to put 2 and 2 together.

Your talking about a biology of a gigantic half-lion women with wings, that can lift her?
It's fantasy, a duck-bunny is the least weird thing to expect. Think (or not-think) about that ooze-like template - how did that ever happen?

As for stepladder issues... perhaps the sphinx has magic? Size-changing would be useful. Especially since I doubt everything in the dungeon is built to her size.

Ditto! I find myself hoping she survives, and joins the group. Or ends up captured by them, and gets redeemed through helping to stop the wizard's sudden-but-inevitable betrayal.

Either mister sorcerer has the worst aim in the world or she has quite a good reflex save as well as evasion. She does seem to have a pretty decent charisma too. I wonder what her challenge rating is.
