You mean it's Mary queen of the Scots? I assumed we were talking about Bloody Mary. I suppose it makes more sense that way.

Talk about inefficiency - proper meat-grinder should do it much faster.

I'm starting to wonder how she will be saved. The humiliation conga, to use silly trope verbiage, is so thorough that just killing her off now would seem gratuitously cruel. It seems like the aim of all this is to knock her ego down a few pegs (just about all the pegs, rather) more than to dispose of the character entirely.

OR, she could die and come back as a ghost or something, or as a demoness after conquering a layer of the Abyss.

Ah, dammit I blame my anime watching habits where it would be written Arakune... But it wasn't that hard to guess, was it?

Arachne and Queenie sure are besties, aren't they?

Nice of them to bandage up the flayed pieces of Queenie before tossing her into the meat grinder.

Theese are nost likely not bandages - this is how she looks like under the skin given the limited shading one can do while sketching.

Agreed. Drows or even Elves putting themselves over other races is like a dwarf living underground... how is that a surprise or anything?

So... Mahr'i's plan is essentially to take her sister's position and actually be competent...

Not surprising, but I'm still interested and I wanna see where it goes.

I don't know, he's one of the more interesting characters in the comic. Not a lovable one, but interesting.

To speculate: maybe Mah'ri doesn't want to assassinate the, just make them infertile? She's a drow, she can wait, and no heirs would destabilize the rule, while giving more time to prepare for a conflict.

But I'm afraid Mah'ri is screwed. She is way to competent, and challenges the main characters. Heck, she even behaves like an actually evil character.

If he is a Beholder Mage then yes, he can. Besides, he can rally other beholders.

Beholder Mages put out their central eye (and, as they level up, each other eye one by one)- this guy doesn't look to have that eye removed.

That said, there are giant beholders- the Elder Orb, and the Hive Mother.

Wait, doesn't the main eye go last? I was always under an impression, that you sacrificed eyestalks first.

The central eye constantly emits antimagic energies. If the beholder wants to be a mage, he needs to turn off his antimagic generator.

The eyestalks are sacrificed to turn them into "spell stalk" -- instead of their original power, they can be used to cast spells of a given level. It's more flexible and powerful, but there's the "limited slots per day" trade-off.
