Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XVIII
Do you want to have a lawful paladin bard ? If so, there is absolutely nothing in this world that will stop you from including him in Avatar Battle Royale. Nothing. Even if the others say that you can't according to D&D rules, you absolutely can do it, because Avatar Battle Royale is not a D&D campaign setting. At all. (It just steals stuff from it when it's convenient)

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XVIII
However, if a character concept is presented that is fairly obviously designed with D&D in mind, then we often feel obliged to point out flaws or advise alternate routes to the same concept, as D&D is a system much of ABR understands.
If CrimsonAngel said that his character was a Paladin who channelled his divine powers through Bardic skills, then that would be fine, but he said they were a Paladin/Bard, usually taken to be a Paladin-Bard multiclass.
I mean, none of my characters are in any way D&D based, yet I was the one who brought this up.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XVIII
Yesshh... This thread has taken a really bizarre turn, so I try to sidetrack it bit back towards the plot...
It seems that the number of mercs for UNIA is stedily increasing. What it is with mercenaries that tempts people so much to working with UNA as one? Thge folks at UNIA must pay helluvalot of cash to keep us all up to the task with latest intelligence, weapons and such. And here is an important question: do UNIA employees have kind of authority to, say for example, publicly shoot someone, whip out the badge, issue the standard "nothing to see here, citizen, UNIA business", and call for retrieval team, or how far can the limits be streched ?
Also, if private security firms are still operational in time of FI (as I picture they would be, terrorist attacks abound), I have some concepts for at least one:
