Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XVIII
I find it worrying that he's using Internet Explorer, despite Firefox being far, far superior.

What are IE's perks?
And what's the problem with Firefox's cookies? I've never had problems with them.If you want a OotS style Touhou avatar, send me a request.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XVIII
IE's perks (for me at least)
Tabs are a lot easier to activate
Settings are easy to customize
Cookies are active by default
auto-complete on web adresses you've visited before (you can browse youtube from your web adress bar if you've seen the video before!)
if the browser abruptly closes, it automatically restarts and gives you the option to restart your browsing session exactly where you left off.
Cookies are just...unreliable in Firefox. I can't keep them on for more than a day.Dark Souls Remake in a Nutshell

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XVIII
1) Double click on free space in the tab bar (or whatever it's called) opens a blank tab.
2) What do you mean by settings?
3) Cookies are active by default in Firefox. At least, they were for me.
4) Firefox has the same.
5) Firefox does the same thing.
And setting can be changed for cookies. Default is "Keep until they expire", with other options available.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XVIII
I like IE. It's usable and I have always used it without any problems (I've never tried any of the others but my friend has it and it seems very confusing) YAY for internet explorer.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XVIII
I used to use IE, because it worked and didn't have any problems for me. Then my computer "got infected" and won't let me go anywhere with IE. So now I use Google Chrome, the best web browser ever.

@Nameless; It's not so bad once you've had to use it for a while. I mean, if you've bought a laptop, you really don't bother with changing a whole lot about it.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XVIII
There's nothing wrong with IE.
Anyway, you guys haven't taken BT and Siffari into account.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XVIII
Because they're stupid!
The actual reason I don't use IE is because I heavily dislike Microsoft. It's a matter of morals. I only use Windows because our Linux server doesn't have internet yet.
As for Firefox, I just don't use it because if the server crashes, it won't save your session. You have to close it, then tell if to save it.
That's all. I don't really 'hate' either of them as lousy internet programs. They just don't work for what I need.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XVIII
The only reason a Mac has no viruses is because no one's made any viruses for it because no body likes them.
The only advantage of a Mac is that they look better.
PC's are far better, they crash less, easier to use, far more individual, you can have more games on it and there's far more things you can do, change, and mess around with on a PC. It's much more personal.
When you have a Mac, it's too predictable, you know what you're gonna get when you open it up.
With a PC, anything can happen and it's always good.
Yeah, you get good editing programs with it but it doesn't even come with simple things such as word, you ahve to dowload it yourself and sometimes pay for it.
PC: For people with Individuality.
Mac: For boring drones that care about looks and who don't know anything about computers.
Unless your in the animation/film industry, PC is the one you want.
EDIT: Oh, and you CAN get viruses for Mac, just not as many.Last edited by Nameless; 2009-02-22 at 12:54 PM.

Don't know what's wrong with your version of Firefox, but mine has the Session Restore working.
Edit; the first virus was written for the Apple II interestingly.Last edited by memnarch; 2009-02-22 at 12:58 PM.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XVIII
Windows: for drones
Mac: for creative people who don't know much about computers.
Nitpick; PC = personal computer. A personal computer is a computer a person owns in their house. A mac is a personal computer. If you want a OotS style Touhou avatar, send me a request.
