Augment Cryastals
Hello all, happy Friday the 13th
I was looking through the MIC and saw the "true death crystals" that allow you to sneak attack undead, but you need a +3 weapon for this.
So my question is, can you apply a oil of greater magic weapon +3 and then use the crystal?
And before any one comes out with "well why dont you just buy a +3 weapon?" out DM has made it very clear that you will have to go dungeon crawling and see if you come across it or make it yourself.
Cheers all101 things you dont want your apprentice to say:
12. "I finally shot that owl that's been following you around!"
75. (Loudly) "WHAT AN ILLUSION, MASTER! THE STORM GIANT WILL * NEVER * FIGURE THAT OUT!"
108. "Don't feel bad, boss. At least the OTHER demon didn't break free!"

Re: Augment Cryastals
The rules seem open to GM interpretation.
By the way it is described (fluff), I would vote that if you temporarily enchant an item with the necessary enhancement bonus, the crystal will 'stick' for as long as the item possesses that bonus. Once the weapon loses the necessary enhancement bonus, the crystal 'falls off' as it is no longer able to stick to the item in question. The easy I do before breakfast,
The difficult I do all day long,
The impossible achieved during the workweek,
Miracles performed when possible.

Re: Augment Cryastals
Greater Magic Weapon spell lasts for hours/level. Get one of the party casters to drop it on you daily. Buy them a 3rd/4th (depending if cleric or wizard) Pearl of Power for it.
