Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIX: To FAIL, or not to FAIL?
I have always gotten that vibe. He has secretly taken over FFF using his superior reasoning and charisma.
Although perhaps a little insulting, you have to admit that the plot has run much smoother and that things have gotten much more organized. Almost painfully so.
On quite another note, I am quite astonished that the person who has taken over FFF with intelligence up the wazoo and reasoning skills and charisma to rival Barack Obama is actually 10 years old....
Either way, it's impossible to argue with him and get our plot back, so we might as well forget it.Last edited by Green-Shirt Q; 2009-04-18 at 08:22 PM.

You will take part in the plot or be assimilated.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIX: To FAIL, or not to FAIL?
I think there is something wrong when a collaborative comic requires certain people's approval before you can call your comic canon. It should be decided by everyone, not one or two people.

You are so charismatic, people decide to fear your presence. You hint that anything is wrong with their comic, and they declare it non-canon themselves. You have infiltrated their minds, but you will never get to their souls!

Mad Mask is some sort of telepath! I find myself agreeing with what he says, and I love randomness!

I have noticed that Mask is generally more on hand than most when questions of canonicity come up, but I can't think of many instances where he's personally called something non-canon and it's been immediately taken as law.

Lyinginbedmon is in league with Mad Mask! They say their half-truths, making everyone think that they did nothing to effect the canonicity of a comic, when in fact, they made you think that your comic was inept enough to be self-declared non-canon.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIX: To FAIL, or not to FAIL?
You're in cahoots with the smooth talker!
Anyway, canoncy is not just it. There is also the general direction of the plot. He seems to have everything mapped out, and anything that dosen't follow those guidlines seems to be ignored (though not necessarily non-canonized. Just corrected).
Perhaps we're I'm crazy, but that's how I see it.Last edited by Green-Shirt Q; 2009-04-18 at 08:39 PM.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIX: To FAIL, or not to FAIL?
That's the thing. You've never had to declare something non-canon because people are afraid of disputing you. All you have to do is suggest something is off, and people will briefly argue, then relent.
As stated by Q, if someone makes something that goes against the railroad, they have to fight to make it a branching track. But it always comes back to the station eventually.
Ever notice that it is always certain people who make "Plot developing comics"? No one else is allowed to move the plot along until they have said their peice? Or what about the time CA made the comic with everyone heading off to fight the shades and MM said "No, not yet"? Has everyone forgotten?

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIX: To FAIL, or not to FAIL?
You have to acknowledge what people are good it. It is common respect, and you know what your adversary can do. Why not have him do things for you every once in a while?
He can affect your mind, and he is pretty darn good at OotS-style art.
I, can just distract, and pointlessly argue, and be lazy, though I am quite informed on pretty much everything.
That's what I've been saying! You have seen the light!Last edited by Szilard; 2009-04-18 at 08:48 PM.

Yes, he is good at the style. Yes, he is good at political histories, and world building. I can acknowledge this. In fact, I never disputed it, I'm just annoyed at the way nothing seems to be allowed to happen unless it goes through him first.
