Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIX: To FAIL, or not to FAIL?
You realise that this plot gives us the potential to make whole new worlds... not just for the planes we visit, but your home plane could have its own continent, tech level, etc.
Oh, the possibilities!

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIX: To FAIL, or not to FAIL?
If we get that far, you should call any plot that takes place once you get home "A Grand New World".
It would be shiny.

You want a long story? Here's the longest build up to a pun ever.
Sorry in advance for wasting half an hour of yours.

Oh if you insist!
He traded all of his memories for ultimate arcane power (he knows cause the contract was tatooed to his torso) and his first memory is waking up naked at the dumpster behind some fancy restaurant. A valet was taking a smoke break.
Now put two and two together.

The valet offered Xartyve his clothing but slipped on a banana peel from the dumpster, landed face first into his cigarette, which went up his nose, hitting his brain?

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIX: To FAIL, or not to FAIL?
I vote that each plane that is visited is like an island floating in a sea of nothing. It'd be cool to have this fiery land that eventually just dropped off into neverending blackness.
Maybe if you fell off the edge, you'd wind up in limbo after a very long fall?

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIX: To FAIL, or not to FAIL?
Is it sad that I think I know exactly how Katya would choose to die? If ever the base was captured she'd probably
Spoilerget everyone through the portal, then destroy the portal machine and do as much damage to the invaders as she could until they brought her down.
I don't believe that factors into your story at all, but that'd be how I'd want her to go.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIX: To FAIL, or not to FAIL?
@Crimson: Sorry I was rude in my last posts And of course Jonas can be Moss apprentice (Moss was a teacher once anyway) and I even got an idea for how he got there (it includes something rolling at high speed and a kid)
@Xartyve: No-one needs to die just for FI (it's darker and edgier but not necessary downers-ending) But if you still choose that then moss probably gonna save Ruby (his daughter) while dying (she's alive in FI, but won't show up unless there's a final battle between The Resistance and the UNA)Treasured Quotes
