Re: Random Banter #117
Not since I read that list of ways to survive a horror flick...
I'm the geeky sarcastic guy, man. The only person higher on the horror villain hit list is the Brunette Girl!
I've done it several times, and it is some of the most fun you will ever have, and typically involves skinny dipping in the lake!
...there goes my lunch.

Re: Random Banter #117
Meh. I suppose in truth, I don't know what being a hippy was all about. There are a number of impressions you get from them, that can help me identify what is and isn't, to a slight extent, but it's nothing I can put my finger on.
The people at school were mostly referring to my demeanour and personality. This avatar by Phase.

Re: Random Banter #117
Heh, you are invited to our next outing, DeeRee. Just fly down to Oklahoma and we can make a weekend out of it!
Dress for warm/hot weather.
Edit: @Cristo: Seriously, swimming naked in the warm waters of an Oklahoma lake. Playing chicken with a girl sitting on your shoulders. Usually you are drunk.
Fun time, fun times.Last edited by TwoBitWriter; 2009-03-23 at 10:28 AM.

Re: Random Banter #117
Not so much in horror films, least not the ones I've subjected myself to. Heck, in many the black guy usually lives (...or, at least, one of them does...i.e. Deep Blue Sea).
Action films, on the other hand...
Guess it's one of those Your Mileage May Vary kinda things

Re: Random Banter #117
No. I suppose it doesn't. However...I dunno. the whole peace-love-freedom-equality thing has a certain appeal to me. Even if those ideals are juxtapositioned against my very non-hippie social beliefs.
Yeah. I know I'm a little odd.
On a different subject: I just managed to get two simultaneous paper cuts while opening a cardboard cereal box. I have no idea how.

Re: Random Banter #117
I can't involuntarily get paper cuts. I had to actually try at giving myself one to find out if they were real. It bled but didn't hurt. My shrink promptly decided to double the dosage of my anti-depressants.
Scientific curiousity: no room for it in this world anymore. Bleedin' artists ruined it for everyone.I use black for sarcasm.

Re: Random Banter #117
I think if anything it's the opposite. It strikes me that if there's one thing people hate it's being forced to think, and if there's one way to do that, it's interacting with someone that has a multi-layered personality.
I mean, we have all these ways of labelling, of breaking someone down into one or two personality traits, I just don't see a pressure to be complex. If anything, it's the opposite.
Grumpy? Where?
...I thought I was being sarcastic and joking...

Re: Random Banter #117
See, right there. I was going to make a mean, snarky comment. But I considered your feeling first and restrained myself.
I don't know what writer I'm most like. Which was the one that spent his days distracted by booze, parties, and the occasional broad?
You know... how I was a few years ago before marriage killed most extracurricular activities.Last edited by TwoBitWriter; 2009-03-23 at 11:20 AM.

Re: Random Banter #117
Hmm... Spiffy... My silly frilly shirt still fits. I need it for tomorrow, which is "English tea party day". Basically, this stereotypical event calls for us dressing up like British blue blood from the early 1800's. The dressing up and goofing around is fun enough... We have pirates versus ninjas day after that one. Obvious what I'll go as.

Re: Random Banter #117
Mr. 50-cent Writer,
Which writer spent his days distracted by booze, parties, and the occasional broad, you ask?
To be honest, I don't think most writers have that kind of self-control. *hiccoughs a little of breakfast's wine up into lap*
Are you referring to the Seinfeld puffy shirt, Mr. Meyers? Or what?

Re: Random Banter #117
I will probably end up like "Craig the Poet." He is a homeless man in my town that walks around with a backpack filled with literature, and a notebook and paper.
He will write you a quick poem for a dollar, and use the money to buy tea and books.
That man is awesome...

Re: Random Banter #117
O! So it is. I am in error...
*hides gorgeous face in shame*
Actually, in spite of the pleasures of facetiousness, all career writers I have met were disciplined, good-natured people. Actors too. Discipline is one of the most important attributes for any artist.
Agreed!
