1.01 Let the Adventuring begin!

Bryan grabs the badger, leaps into the corner and then uses it as a badger shield.

The grenade lands near the door and explodes. It seems like the explosion managed to weaken the door a bit.

[Anu]

The door begins to shake and tremble as something slams into it from the other side. Three times it shudders before exploding inward. A humanoid shape, slathered in red fluid bursts into the room.

OH YEAAAAAH!!!!!! shouts the blood covered form of Pavis Genave. He then promptly collapses onto the ground, covered in what seems to be his own blood.

Bryan mentally commands his badger to lick the blood off of Pavis.

Lewyd, he looks desperate. Do you think he's going to eat us?

Lewyd scratches his head, unsure of what to say.

Sure, the badger might be hungry, but don't you think one entire person is more than enough food for such a small animal?

[Thrawn183]

I uh.... wasn't talking about the badger.

[Anu]

Pavis mumbles something on the ground. Straining your ears you can just make out the words
whaaaat diiid i missssss?

[Thrawn183]

Are you alright? What happened to you?

[1hitparry]

You get the sense that you've wasted enough time with small talk and that you should try to find your equipment before the guards notice that the veneered door has been knocked down.

[Anu]

I'm pretty sure I can walk ... wait ... Pavis spits out a mouthful of blood then stands up yea, it's just a flesh wound!

Bryan walks through the newly opened door and looks for his armor.

[inthesto]

Lewyd declines to comment on Pavis' current condition and starts looking around for his sack of junk.

[1hitparry]

Bryan and Lewyd find themselves in the corridor they had traveled through just a few hours ago. Between the two of them, they decide to go back the way they came to find their stuff since the other way would only seem to lead to more cells. As they make their way down the hall their ears catch the sound of approaching soldiers.

As the guards pass by, one stops and looks directly at Lewyd.

I don't remember them bothering to bring wax statues down here. It looks so life-like. I guess they're just trying to light up the place. And with that the patrol continues on.

Let's go the way the guards came from.

Bryan sets off down the hallway.

Lewyd follows after Bryan while scratching his arm, wondering if his complexion really is that bad.

[Anu]

Pavis limps along after them, keeping an eye out for his equipment, or at least a club to smite people with.

After about a minute of wandering down the corridor, Bryan and Lewyd manage to find the room they're looking for. Pavis also finds makes his way to the appropriate room a minute later. The party finds Pavis' armor as well as their weapons. Additionally, the party finds some extra gold. Now that you have your stuff back you can get rid of the useless junk you accumulated from the cell. You discard the small reflective object and the piece of dotted paper. You keep the handsaw, though. That might be handy. Given the lull in action at the moment, now seems as good as time as any to take a break.

Bryan tests the pull on his bow to make sure it isn't broken. Alright, I'm out of tricks so from now on, I won't be able to help out with things other than by turning them into pin cushions. You guys good to go?

Pavis straps on the remainder of his armor, hoists his miniature ballista, and nods.

[1hitparry]

After you gather your gear and strap on your previous wears, you stop to think plan out the next step of this break out. You'll probably need to obtain a key from the guards.

So, are we going to try and do this nicely? I'm not the best at cleaning up messes with the authorities, especially when the authorities are the mess!

[Anu]

Pavis spits out yet another tooth.
I think I'm quite done with playing nice

Lewyd picks up the badger, handsaw still tied to its back, and stares pensively into its eyes.

I don't think the badger wants to play nice either. Besides, I'd like to see this new trap of mine in action.

Lewyd shakes the badger up and down a little bit as he mumbles his previous sentence.

Say, which way do we go from here anyway?

UP WORKS FOR ME!!!

Ok, then I'll need the two of you to saw a hole in the ceiling and away we go!

[inthesto]

Lewyd looks at the handsaw still tied to the badger. He then looks at Bryan, and briefly considers asking a question, but shrugs his shoulders instead.

He then hurls the badger at the ceiling at full force.

Bryan winces in anticipation of an ominous *splat*.

[1hitparry]

Lewyd heaves the badger-saw ceilingward. The animal attacks the ceiling with its claws and the saw. The badger manages to damage some of the wood on the ceiling above. Noting his initial success, Lewyd decides to make use of his rotational attack idea. Lewyd hurling the badger-saw at the ceiling once again, Lewyd commands the badger to start spinning. This second attempt does significantly more damage to the ceiling than before. Lewyd tosses up the badger a few more times to round out a hole, after which the badger disappears along with the rope and the saw.

You now have a way out, if only you could reach it.

[Anu]

Quick! Lewd, stand atop my shoulders, then Bryan stand atop his! That should be high enough for you to reach the ceiling and find the rope!
