    If it makes a difference, I believe those actions are assumed to occur at the movement midpoint (P-4) since the mount is making a double move.

At this time, Dense will have used a move action (else my RA would not trigger), so even if he forgoes movement (to avoid an AoO), he loses that action, correct? And the, does that then prevent him from using a 5ft step, since he used a move action (even though he moved 0 ft)?
    Summary:
    1) Do I get to choose whether I wind up in G3 or G4?
    2) Does Dense (technically his dog) lose his move action even if he doesn't go anywhere with it?
    3) Can Dense take a 5ft step in this situation after I move?

    I'm confused about how or why you are moving. If you didn't move on the turn you readied the action, you are allowed a 5' step. If your readied action IS to move, you can move wherever you want when it triggers.

    2) Does Dense (technically his dog) lose his move action even if he doesn't go anywhere with it?

    Whatever action triggers your ready has to be completed after you take your readied action, if possible. They won't just 'lose' their movement though.

    3) Can Dense take a 5ft step in this situation after I move?

    If he moves he can't, if he doesn't he can.

    The action happens prior to the action that triggered it. Therefore, the action that triggered it must occur, after the readied action is taken. So, as the movement is the trigger, you will be able to trigger your ready action at the first square. After this, you'll move to him (your choice on square). From this, he must continue the 5 feet of movement that triggered the action. After that, however, he may alter his actions, including modifying where he ends that individual move action.

    Dense is not able to alter the trigger. As the trigger is a move action, he may not choose a 5 foot step instead.

    Dense's move action will be taken, provided he is legally able to perform it. If he is not able to perform at least part of it, then it isn't used.

    Thanks muchly refs! PD, feel free to open the ref spoilers. Talic explains it especially well (despite how poorly I managed to word my questions in retrospect).

    McToughy's Readied Action Triggers
    McToughy moves to G3. Dense moves 5 ft to I3 or I4 (it doesn't matter), and provokes an AoO.

    Attack - (1d20+5)[15]
    Damage - (1d8+6)[8]

    Dense has the rest of the first move action and the rest of his turn if that doesn't hit. since that didn't hit.

    Huh, I total misunderstood the consequences of moving as a readied action to intercept movement. Somehow I thought that since I've never seen anyone do it before there had been an earlier precedent that by some combination of rewinds or what not that no AoO could actually be granted unless the triggeree chose to continue movement.

    If you guys are sure about that you may wish to drop in over at the curil v. ran'dhul to correct me where I made nearly the exact opposite ruling yesterday.

    This will create some slight changes in my strategy this game and a drastic revision of the remainder of my last turn, so it will be a few more minutes before I post the turn revision.
