Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XXIV: What is this "Haste" you speak of?
Keveak's travel robe is turquoise (a favourite color of mine) not blue and at the end of FFF he wears dark-grey. The color (and style) of his clothes in FI will wary.
Besides saying you are non-Keveaky is kinda ruined by the kobold avatar.
Is there some sort of kobold week going on since you guys got kobold avatars?Treasured Quotes

In the Resistance: Keveak's probably the most idealistic member of the Resistance, while Ernst Schwartz is the most cynical.
In the UNA: Hmm... Tough call. Karen Dewey and Acostas Gwyn are pretty idealistic, but truly cynic UNA members are rare, so I'll have to go into third parties. It's probably a mercenary, maybe your character ?

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XXIV: What is this "Haste" you speak of?
Yes, I would say Grim is rather cynical invidual. While the rest of the UNA tries to "save the world", I would say he does what he is told because he gets paid for it, without any kind of idealism behind it exept to get his job done with. Oh course his attitude could cause grinding of teeth amongst some of UNA personel he works with, perhaps peacekeepers (and expecially skimmer if Grim and she end up working on same mission)? He does not care one whit if he has to bomb a town to rubble or use blackmail or other bit less honourable methods, so yeah, i would say he lands on the far end of cynism.
Also, I found just perfect theme for him or whole M.E.R.C to have as theme music in time of FI. Here it is . Epicness for the win

Well thank you
I can almost picture Grim doing his work when listening to this music. No mercy for rebels!

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XXIV: What is this "Haste" you speak of?
Really ?
Hmm... To make the Resistance a bit more threatening for FI, maybe Lying created a couple or so of Citadel-like crafts ? Of course, they'll be less powerful, since they don't have any VGG cannons, teleportation engines or Alphantican armour, but at least that'll make the terrorists a sizeable force.

Your point has been made, however you're going to have to invent a better weapon for peace keepers then some standard issue rifles if you expect us to blow up buildings.
Obviously one could just use average bombs, but getting onto a flying citadel is somewhat hard if you're stuck on the ground.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XXIV: What is this "Haste" you speak of?
Peacekeepers aren't like the military in the movie, they've got a real arsenal of weapons. Plenty of those are driven by steam, like their APCs, tanks and attack planes. Heavy weapons include Galting guns (very popular), rockets (unguided), howitzers and cannons. And in case things get really bad, the Navy can give them railguns or lasers.
EDIT: Rocket launchers are really old, the medieval Chinese had them.Last edited by Mad Mask; 2009-07-30 at 09:53 AM.
